Hawk has a tryout with the Buffalo Bills

Post by Jhawk10 »

Today on May 13, 2005 my agent called me and told me that I have a tryout with the Buffalo Bills. That Tryout will be on June 13, 2005. That is my first step to the NFL. Wish me luck

Sounds like a great chance for you Hawk! From my recollection, beyond Moulds and Evans, Buffalo could use some help at wideout. Best of luck to you and keep us informed with what happens!

Thats great Hawk, take adavantage of this chance. The Bills could use some help on offense and WR. I hope that all goes well, keep us updated.
4th & 13 on PU 32yd line.. 56,000 fans up on their feet screaming, i held my breath the entire play trying to make as little noise as possible.. wouldnt u know Sharon would make the biggest touchdown catch in the history of BG Football, FALCON UP!

I don't think the Bills necessarily NEED help at wideout after Moulds and Evans, as they just drafted Roscoe Parrish for slot, with Josh Reed providing some depth there. 4th year man Sam Aiken out of UNC is also a real quality backup for either the slot or a deep threat. However, as you can probably tell the Bills are my team and I REALLY hope JHawk gets a roster spot....it would make my day. Good Luck!

As a Bills fan, all I have to say is Josh Reed couldn't catch a cold. He had a huge bowl game, and that got him drafted as high as he was.

Good luck Hawk, it'd be nice to see a Falcon play in WNY.

My husband played Div I football in TX, and while he didn't go pro, he has friends who did. The best advice from what I have seen with his friends is remove ANYONE from your life that is not 100% on board with your plans. It will affect you if you let any of their doubts wander into your head. One of the best players he knew had the talent, and had the opportunity, but let his girlfriend detract from him b/c she was jealous, and didn't support him. He didn't end up in the NFL, and ended up in a horrible marriage with her that was wrong from the start.

Another friend had a tryout with Atlanta, but then they wanted him to try another position, he said he needed time to "think about it." Before he could get back to them, they signed someone else. Don't hesitate, even for a second.

The people that did the best were the ones with good support, obviously God given talent, and extreme self-confidence. Don't ever doubt yourself. Good luck!!!

Hawk,

If you make the roster and get to training camp in Rochester, PM me or e-mail me through this site.

We'd love to have you over for a barbecue if you have any down time at camp.

And to think that the only AZZ-Rochester connection was yours truly...grew up there but came to Ohio due to going to some college named BG.

Another Rochestarian here that seconds the sentiment!

Defensive end Brandon Mack (Webster) and hockey player Derek Whitmore (Greece) are the only Section V representatives at BG. Hopefully they'll be more.

Hawk: Whatever you do, AVOID Nick Tahoe's until the off-season.

Garbage plates are damn good -- but not good for you.
