"""In fact, if Krebs or the new marketing guy or Brandon himself isn't inviting Jack Carle into their living rooms to cover this team at least once a week, they should really consider it."""

I am sure they have considered it, but the mighty Mr. Carle must deign to lower himself to work a little harder instead of just showing up on Saturday and filing a story that a high school journalist could have written.

I look at how other papers cover their teams and I just want to poke him.
Many letters have been sent to no avail.

Now ask me how I really feel. :x

I guess I'll just have to start writing free lance for the local papers now. :D

From Matt Hayes of the Sporting News:

Question for Matt:

With Utah's coaching staff all gone and the loss of QB Alex Smith, who do you pick for the best team in the Mountain West next season?
Chris Dudley, Sacramento

Matt's answer:

The Utes are at the head of the pack if new quarterback Brian Johnson can pick up the new offense. One thing the Utes have going for them: Former coach Urban Meyer loved Johnson; thought he was going to be a big-time talent. And Meyer is a pretty good judge of quarterbacks. He's the guy who recruited Omar Jacobs to Bowling Green, when no school in his home state of Florida would touch him. And by the way, Jacobs--not USC's Matt Leinart--will be the first quarterback taken in the NFL draft next year. The MWC will come down to the Utah-Wyoming game.

Wow. That is a bold statement. (literally :D )

Anyway, it is nice to see little excerpts in magazines and online about Omar and BG.
