My top 11 in toughest to weakest (factoring in Home/Away)

1. Boise St. -because they are almost unbeatable at home
2. Wisconsin -because they have huge fan base & have good sized players
3. Miami -not as good as they normally are IMO, but always struggle there
4. Toledo -athletic, fast, rivalry
5. Ohio -students will be gone and Solich is really good
6. Ball St - a road game that we will win but this is an improving team
7. Akron -Fyre is gone, i wish he would have got a crack @ Purdue(9-10-05)
8. Kent St -NO defense
9. Temple- Walter Washington is a STUD, but they still blow
10.WMU -what happend here? they just cant get it together
11. Buffalo - they are really BAD
4th & 13 on PU 32yd line.. 56,000 fans up on their feet screaming, i held my breath the entire play trying to make as little noise as possible.. wouldnt u know Sharon would make the biggest touchdown catch in the history of BG Football, FALCON UP!

Winning that game at Camp Randall will be a major acomplishment for our program. Our "BCS" record has come at the expense of teams that generally ended up with losing records--yes, with the exception of Purdue, which is our only road win against a team with a winning record post-Blackney.

I think we're drinking the mid-major Kool Aid a little bit.

Having said that, I would trade both the Wisconsin and Boise State games for a victory at Ford Field and a MAC Championship.

I'm just saying in my own opinion it will not be an upset. We are the better team. ...There are no official rankings yet.[/quote

I know we are the better team in this macthup, but we are going into it as the underdog. MAC vs. BigTen, away game. The only people who don't think we are underdogs is us.

Gotta go with Boise State. Anybody who plays on blue turf has got to be tough.

I voted for Boise. But I would argue that it is not fair to include Toledo. Year in, year out, that is our toughtest game. Rivalry, throw the records out the window, all those cliches, Toledo is always the toughest game of the year. So after discounting Toledo from the selection, I went with Boise.

For all the UT fans that cruise through, I think the Rockets are getting disrecpted a little just because the game is in BG this year. I don't think that should be a factor.

If he would have asked, I might have found a way to slide a couple hundred to him. I'm sure Grant could do that!! :D

On the Blue

Post by Beef Zerkie »

A win on the Blue will be more difficult than any game you face. I know I'm a homer but I also know the history of it. While it is true we probably would have won most of those games home or away, the way we win them at home is very different than away. Just compare teams at both locations. In 2001 we shocked Fresno State at Fresno barely. The next year they had revenge on their minds and we smoked 'em 67-21 or something like that. Playing on on the Blue will be a VERY new experience for you guys.

As a side note, the guy who said we should beat you like a rented mule was a UGA fan on Boise fan. Just so you know.

A lot of people are talking about how tough Toledo is...the home team has won the last 6(?) games in the series? if we had boise at home and Toledo on the road, i might reverse them, but no way is Toledo @ the Doyt harder than Boise on the Azure Tundra. Miami in Oxford, however, scares me.

BTW - just so we are clear - the poll is toughest, not most important opponent. I think Miami is our most important by far.
