9-2 on Sunday to complete a three game sweep of the lowly rockets, and we scored 43 runs for the weekend.
Let's go to Western and get at least two next weekend and we are off to the tournament!!!!
Falcons sweep the Rockets in baseball!!!!

That's awesome! I can't believe how bad we beat Toledo but I'm not going to complain. 43 runs in 3 games is incredible!factman wrote:9-2 on Sunday to complete a three game sweep of the lowly rockets, and we scored 43 runs for the weekend.

Whoo hoo!!!! Nothin like stomping on the Rockettes with cleats! BIG BG weekend. UT sucks.
Senior Burke Badenhop (9-2) tied a season-high with nine strikeouts and allowed just two runs in eight innings of work with no walks. The nine victories are the most by a Falcon pitcher since Jason Kelley recorded a school-record 12 in 1999. BGSU finished 18-3 at Warren Steller Field this season, the most home wins since 2002 (18-5).
Smash the Rockettes again this Wednesday.
Factman,
2 wins at WMU will get us into the tourney, right? I was looking at the updated standings and it looks like you're right on the $$$.

Next weekend, BG is at WMU. HUGE series. Ball State is done with MAC play and has a series with Wright State. The Cards are in the tourney as well as Miami. CMU, WMU, BG, Akron and Kent State are fighting for the remaining 4 berths. Ohio has an outside chance, at best.
EMU travels to CMU and Miami is @ Kent next weekend. We need to root for EMU and Miami to help our cause...just in case. Ohio is at Akron.
As good as BG is playing, I can see us taking 2 of 3 next weekend.
WAY TO GO COACH SCHMITZ AND TEAM!!! CRUSH UT AGAIN!

It is rather funny how this new guys (Mee) approach is to sign about anybody who has played the game and see who makes it. He has signed 25 guys in the past two years, with most of them being in the late signing period. He must not offer much $$, but just a chance. Not saying you can't find a few good players late, but most of the highly rated players sign in the early period. I guess it would be hard to recruit anyone to their facility, which has more dandelions than grass and in the middle of a questionalbe neighborhood, NOT on the main campus.

I think the two division winners go and then the next 4 best records...NY-BG-FAN wrote:So is it whoever wins this upcoming series with Western gets the last MAC Tournament spot out of the West Division?
Factman will know for sure. BG wins 2 of 3 at WMU and they're in!
