OSU will be three point favorites then. I think your going a little to far. OSU will blow out NIU just like they did to San Diego State in 2003....wait that was a three point game too. Anyways, OSU will blow them out just like they do everyone.

The point I had in reviving this thread and hijacking it was that 1) I can't bring myself to start an OSU thread myself, 2) to point out that NIU picked up OSU, and 3) that OSU has a more NCAA violations that they can chalk up to a team that is already on probation.

I am Orange and Brown First and a Buckeye by birth. You wouldn't even know if the same kind of thing goes on at BG because of no major media hype, NCAA investigation not here etc. If it doesn't go on at BG that's great, but if every school went through an investigation like OSU, what school would show clean? My guess is none. There were no major violations at OSU, check it and OSU is not currently on probation. Let's just embrace the Orange and Brown, don't worry about bashing other schools (some MAC schools could be an occasional exception for fun only, nothing serious). Lead by example or risk bad karma.

One thing I have come to deal with on this board is there is always going be talk about OSU. Whether you like the talk or not. I use to get into it and I think I even got into with you once but anymore I just let it go. It's the same ole talk over and over again.

No, it started as a "lets bash another school thread" and developed into a MAC thread because of a schedule.

Actually, I posted a message relating to something that happened to a football player at tOSU. Call it bashing, call it News, call it I feel bad that it's happening to them.......it's all in your interpretation. The t is small cause I think it's dumb that they are so AR about their THE. As for what I think of their football program...........

If I misunderstood your intentions then I am sorry. I just assumed (incert comment here) that it was a bash since there are many on here that like to partake. I find it interesting that the charges cleared the University of the Clarrett thing. Hopefully that can die quickly now. The funniest part of the report was the allegations against the women's basketball program. Apparently some of the ladies had free dental work done by students I believe, or the teacher did the work as students watched. I have had many friends who went to OSU that got these same services. If you are going to have a dentistry school you have to have people to practice on, lol. Anyway, sorry about the misunderstanding. I would just like to see us focus on what is important, BGSU football, and stay off of OSU's nuts.....

You know - I used to work for the athletic department. I used to know people on the FB team. It is totally different at BG. Our starting QB drove a crappier car than I did. Ohio State is like many other huge programs - boosters want to play too big of a part and they cause trouble. We don't have NEARLY the magnitude of problems Ohio State does. I staunchly believe that.

I also was not putting down Ohio State as much as I was trying to have everyone go after those BG grads who are Ohio State fans and show them the light. I used to be a BG and Ohio State fan. I wish OSU well, but if they ever played my school, I would want BGSU to win. I doubt half of the BG students and alums who also call themselves Buckeye fans feel the same, and this is a great time to push that with people.

The only thing that irritates me is the idea that I have to be a Buckeye fan on some level because I live in Ohio....that bugs me and it also bugs me when people say things like "BG has a good team for a MAC school"

We have a good team...period. I'm thinking we're going to have a hell of a ride over the next few years. I'm focusing on that and that alone. Everything else is just noise

I agree with you personally, but pragmatically, I would love to see people choose to go to a BG football game who haven't been since their college days. We should sell out the Doyt. We need more fans. Or we need more dedicated fans. We have a good football team, but we don't support them like I wish.

And I hate that "live in Ohio, root for Ohio State" bias too.

All this talk about NIU getting creamed doesn't say much for BG since we seem to do pretty well against the Falcons.
We can't beat Toledo but have BG's number. Go Huskies!!!
