Well, I'm a Section V representative at BG. So what if I have no athletic talent.......JoeFalcon wrote:I like Aquinas about as much as Toledo!
Another Rochestarian here that seconds the sentiment!
Defensive end Brandon Mack (Webster) and hockey player Derek Whitmore (Greece) are the only Section V representatives at BG. Hopefully they'll be more.
Yeah and Aquinas sucks!----Apparently there are a few Rochester area BG Fans on this board.....we should plan an event if we're all ever in the same place.
Simba, Bwana Bwana Simba, Wanna Be Huh, Wanna Be Huh, ZuZuZuZuZuCan I hear a Biwana! Biwana!
(and people think Ay Ziggy Zoomba is bizarre!)
I've always wondered why the MAC doesn't recruit Section V harder for athletics. McQ would be a nice starting point as they have the best overall athletic program. The baseball team is currently ranked 4th in the East region and the hockey team won the NYS D-I championship. The basketball program was ranked in the top 10 nationally by all the polls in 2003. Kent was recruiting a player from that team who went on to be the freshman of the year in the Big South averaging 14 ppg. Webster has developed a monster of a football program and other schools have turned out some excellent prospects.
NY-BG-FAN's idea is great should there be a time that works in the future.

I would think the Buffalo away game represents the best chance. I have that as a tentative and can probably make it up there in about 4 hours or a little over depending on how far away from I90.
Hey, bring some Charlie Burgers or Don's Original.
1981: McQuaid 29 Aquinas 8
Glad to hear athletics is looking good. During my last reunion weekend we left at the half against AQ, it was uuuugggllyyy. Way to go Sprague!
Hockey was big time awesome back when I was there especially with victories over Mendon and Irondesquat

Wow, I did not realize that there was so much AQ hatred on this board. I would love to get together with some Rochester AZZer's, but since I work at Aquinas, I might get pummeled with a pillow case full of soap if I show up.NY-BG-FAN wrote:Well, I'm a Section V representative at BG. That sounds like a good idea. I will be driving to UB from BG for that game, so I will definitely be there. Do any of you attend Bills in training camp in Pittsford regularly? I went quite a bit last year, and will go a couple of days this year for sure.JohnnySwoop '85 wrote:I would think the Buffalo away game represents the best chance. He posted it thinking that no one would ever read it. He felt he could be aggressive and I feel it is neccessary for everyone here to know what he is like so that if they run into him they know how to act. It is a public service announcement. If one person got hurt and I didnt tell anyone I would feel horrible.UK Peregrine wrote:A moderator needs to remove the last two posts, plus this one. Not having grown up here, I couldn't care less about Aquinas, although I did laugh when Canton McKinley handed it to them a couple of years ago.NYFalcon94 wrote:Wow, I did not realize that there was so much AQ hatred on this board. '94, if you want to meet at a bar to watch a game this fall, let me know. (That is if you want to hang with an old guy)
