The more I hear people referring to us as "BGU" the more I like it. And since those morons down in Columbus keep shorting us money we need I say we just drop that work "STATE" from the name all together. Any takers???

It's funny you should mention this....I was at my uncle's retirement party from the Navy, and one of his old neighbors was talking to me at dinner. I told her my plans of going to BG and she says, "Oh my gosh I'm a grad! Class of '51!" So we kept talking and she told me these great stories about the campus and her sorority days, so then she tells me that when she went there it was known as a 'normal' school and not a state school. So it was once BGU. I'm sure many of you knew that but I thought I'd just throw it out there!

Yet another article on Laura Bugher. This girl is getting some Indy love.
http://www.indystar.com/apps/pbcs.dll/a ... 7/SPORTS02
"I pretty much knew from the first time I visited that's where I wanted to go," Bugher said. "It just seems like the best fit for me, athletically and academically. I didn't want to rush anything, so I waited until after the second visit, checked out all my options, before I made my decision." Bugher chose Bowling Green over Marquette, Wisconsin-Green Bay, Ball State and Indiana State.

New Recruit.....
If Coach Miller isn't intrested in girls with more size, than at least I hope he's looking at girls than can shoot the 3 well , can dribble well and are quick. I don't wan't a 6'5 loaf who can't move. I've said it'd be nice if we could land a 6'3 or taller center thats athletic and can move, if not then I'll take the 6'1 with good athletic skills.

Nah, the band could force out 3 hard notes and then repeat and everone will follow. Most will be drunk and be confused at first, but they will follow!transfer2BGSU wrote:Yes it would screw it up, because then the TUPU fans couldn't yell their favorite chant at the end "C K S"orangeandbrown wrote:Wouldn't that screw up the end of Ay-ziggy-zoomba?

Laura Bugher. What a great addition for Coach Miller and staff. The next Ali Mann type player from what I hear.
Finding gifted "big" players for the post is tough. There are only X number of 6'3" girls who can play D 1. The next best deal (or actually better deal in our league) is getting versatile athletes with size who make for difficult match ups. This Bugher looks like just that kind of player.
I love beating out Marquette, UWGB (super women's team) and hated rival Ball State for this kid. Note her emphasis on academics and career choice. We turn out good, employable teachers and school districts come from literally all over the United States to talk to our soon to be grads on the BG campus. This kind of stuff really adds up for a player like Bugher.
Plus we kick butt, we play hard and we will keep winning with this staff and this momentum we have established the last two years.
Go Falcons!
