What I heard is that the new PA announcer is a big-time donor from Florida who has no background doing PA, but essentially bought his way into the job. He flies himself up for the games.

Its a cross between a I-A football program and a fantasy camp.

As long as he doesn't suck, I can deal with that.

As long as he dumped a really sweet load of cash into the athletics department, I also can deal with that.

If he screws up the downs and yards to go, he'll be heckled loudly by the vultures row I sit with under the press box.
