I just read an article from the JJ huddle site about Vincent Corner a kid from Springfield North HS who has given a soild commit to us and the very neat part was he did this before his junior year was even done. He had run a 4.4 forty time at a BG camp i think it was last years but the article didn't say what year it was. We have recruited him as a RB and told him he got a very good chance to play early next year he stands 5'9 195 and hopes to be here in the winter so he can go through spring ball. His stats from last year were

284 rushing
454 receiving
328 kickoff
118 punt return

He picked us over West Vir,Indiana,Wisconsin,Eastern Kentucky and Toledo

This guy looks to be a great prospect. Notice that he does well not only as a runner but also as a receiver and a kick returner. One thing that's clear--our coaching staff is on these guys early in the game. High school prospects are committing earlier and earlier.

Our pipeline to Springfield is working well. I've read that Springfield has several great prospects this year. Maybe we can latch on to more of them.

I'm betting that we already have additional verbals besides Vincent Corner.

I think this kid's name is a sign from God. He sounds like an athlete (although i don't buy the 4.4 40). Put him in the SECONDARY! Talk to his HS coach and start playing him both ways next year if he has to. Then put him at corner or safety (depending on other physical characteristics) and kick/punt return.

Nice all round player by the looks of his stats. Kids are noticing at BGSU, there is the possibility of playing almost any position. And, UT didn't get him.

Springfield seems to be stocked with great HS players.
Keep 'em coming to BG!

Thanks for the info, bg sports fan.

Wow did we really win this guy over Wisky, and West Virginia??? I could see us defineily competing with Indiana, but we're really must working into new territory with us competing possibley with Wisky and WV! :D This looks good! Yeah, I'm with you , all this talent we seem to have no problem getting on offense , we really need to turn these kind of guys into corners and or safties so we can get some serious speed and athletism in the secondary.

And Penn State and Iowa.

Wiliiams' dad has stated on here before that Brad could have played LB at Nebraska, IIRC. I'm sure there are others as well witih similar offers.

This guy could be that change of pace "scatback" we've been loooking for. Kind of like NIU's Garret Wolfe only not as likely to commit crimes.

I am glad to hear we continue to recruit well in the Springfield area. This was formally Miami and UC country until we started really getting going five years ago down this way. Our coaches do a good job.

This is particularly important because Springfield North and South will merge after this next school year to create one big school. Student-athleyes will continue to rise to the top in Springfield.

Go Falcons!

No one in their right mind would pick BG over Wisconsin at this current juncture. No way. I would bet that Wisconsin was listed just as interested and the original pst was wrong.

Cool...the kid runs a 4.4 40 and may be clinically insane...

If this kid is indeed close too that fast , he should be put in the secondary like a corner postion. Its time to start stockpiling as much talent and quickness on defense as well as offense. Only then will we be truley scary. :-\
