How 'bout those Chanticleers
Since they're in the thread description for this forum, why not mention the fact that the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers (48-14; 21-3) are playing UNLV this Friday in the first round of the NCAA baseball tournament. They are the number one seed in the Tempe region. Also of note, but not Chanticleer-related is the fact that Miami is playing Arkansas in the Austin regional.
You know, I really love the College World Series. Even the aluminum bats. You get to see plenty of pro prospects, some of who chose to go to college instead of the minors. I always think that is nice. Plus, it normally is some really good baseball.
I like that steak comes from cows. That is why a cow will not think twice about eating you.

Coastal Carolina is a real solid club, but since they did not bid to host a regional, Arizona State is the "home" team in that regional despite CC being the number one seed. This will be a real test for a "Mid-Major." That will be one of the most interesting regionals to watch, especially if CC ends up playing Arizona State. With as good as Miami's (OH) pitching staff is, I think they have a real shot to beat Arkansas in the first game and be nuicance in that regional. I couldn't see them beating Texas though.UK Peregrine wrote:Since they're in the thread description for this forum, why not mention the fact that the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers (48-14; 21-3) are playing UNLV this Friday in the first round of the NCAA baseball tournament.
