That is very nice to see. Imagine what we could have got with a better team? Still 23,000 is a great place to start. I think our two 1-AA teams last year brought no more then 16,000 if my memory serves correctly. Great to see 23k in the seats to start the year.

I was shocked. We got there at noon to tailgate and there was already a decent crowd gathered around. Then we go into the stands and they were pretty packed, especially the student section.

An absolutely phenomenal crowd for such an opponent. We can only go up from here! It certainly didn't hurt that the weather was perfect. Warm enough to be out in shorts & t-shirts, but cool enough to not sweat your butt off in the stands. A wonderful day for BG football :)

Great crowd....

...but they need to plan accordingly! They only had ONE port-o-john in the East parking lot and it was unusable early on! They also need to add more trash cans around the parking lot areas and yards. The trash left there by the late evening was disgusting. Great to see so many students partying and having fun, but geez, pick up the crap before you leave!!!!
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Well said FF! And thanks for the posters...they are on the walls of the sports den already.

I was very surprised by 23,000+...The people just kept coming in. It was AWESOME!

23,000 was a great crowd for this game. I was hoping for 20,000 and we topped it. Heck, 23,000 is more than we had for Missouri a couple years ago! It stinks we won't have another home game for a month though. :x
GO BG!!!
