Perennial women's basketball national power Connecticut will play a yet to be determined MAC opponent in Gund arena this December, essentially as a "homecoming" game for Cleveland native Barbara Turner.

UConn to play MAC team at Gund
With our success, I sure hope they pick us to at least keep it an interesting game! Of course they probably bring in Kent St. just to get more money and still have an alright game. Without Shearer though, I am wondering if anyone on Kent St.'s team steps up and keeps their program at their same level. I mean she did score 48 pts or something around there on us in the championship game so someone is going to have to cover for that!
I think that they will likely choose Kent State but we would be a close runner up if the MAC officials have anything to say about it. We did bring in just as many if not more fans than KSU the past two seasons in Cleveland. We should have two of the best squads. But KSU has the advantage based on location. They have a great fan base in the greater Cleveland area.
My only question is why would Shearer not play? Did she get hurt??

Kent State loses ONE Sr from this past season...she was a guard and I can't remember her name right now.pardonfan wrote:No, Shearer is due back for her senior season.
They will be tough again in 05-06...Lindsay is kinda of an Ahole but he gets great results.
Too bad Miller & Co. are gonna rule the roost the next few years.
TOGETHER WE ATTACK AGAIN!
