of this guy?

trev alberts, craig james, kirk herbstreit, even dan fouts have all taken shots at Boise State in the last three years. i guess going 36-3 isn't worthy for them.

but trev has a special place in our Bronco hearts because he's gone out of his way to demean us, even referring to us as Boise Tech last season.

we think he's a complete tool. brain cells are to trev what fat is to a skeleton.

how do you guys perceive him? has he been kinder to the Falcons?

I do not think too highly of him. I cannot think of any direct shots he has taken at us but I do dislike him for the reasons you say. He is a Big Twelve homer too. I like the other guys who do college football on ESPN. Corso is semi-retarded sometimes but I still like him.

You ever had Bob Davie do the commentating for one of your games? I would rather drill nails in my head than listen to that man.

davie is another tool. he's taken his shots at BSU in the past, too.

last year, after we went 11-0 in the regular season, he said during one of his "analyses" of the bowl games that "no team who plays on a blue field can ever qualify for a BCS bowl game. it's in the NCAA rules."

he was trying to be funny. :?

i didn't laugh.

LOVE the images, brother!

Is that something you picked up from Utah, or the other way around? I noticed they have that functionality at utefan.

Oh, and welcome. If we correct your grammar/usage/spelling, it's not personal. It's just something we do around here.

Lee Corso is not God. He's John Madden without the touch screen...aka someone who points out the obvious after every play. "Oh, if this guy didn't get that block, that guy wouldn't have scored." And yeah, he does say things like that...

I hate Trev Alberts, and I've said here before how puzzled I am how meathead jocks like him get these marquee TV jobs. What does he bring to the table other than he was an average college football player, and an NFL Flop, and is way too proud over both? He talks as if he was a star, but fact was he was surrounded by other players during his time at Nebraska which would make me look like a good linebacker/end. This is the kind of thing Howard Cosell was always rightly complaining about when he criticized jocks for masquerading as journalists. Alberts has just taken a job away from a qualified college graduate who didn't have the perks of being passed through classes as a Nebraska football player (the N stands for "knowledge"). He is just too proud to admit that MAC or WAC schools have evolved to be able to compete with the Big 11, (I don't count Baylor). He is just too stupid to admit that College Football is more even across the conference landscape since he played.

"stupid" and "trev" is redundant.
:)

as for lee corso, he's like Blinky the Clown. fun to watch, doesn't say anything, clueless about modern college football.

but i don't dislike lee. that's like disliking a hamster because it made the cage dirty.

Lee Corso... I would think you Falcons wouldn't like him after the comments at the MACC last season, I realize Miami lost, but he talked bout BG and was NOT nice in his analysis of their loss to UT. I felt it was unnecessary, and he proceeded to rip apart Miami, saying that we needed to learn what Defence was, and needed a new offense.... He also said some trashy things about our band.

1Boise, Those pictures are great! I got a GOOD hearty laugh. BSU is a GREAT place, and I am a fan of the Blue turf, I wanted Miami to go with red and white turf in immitation, then I realized after doing some doodles that Yager would get the nickname Candycane Stadium. Keep representing the unrepresented BSU! (You too BG, but yea, My team is in the same conference... ) Is BSU coming to BGSU? I'd like to go to that game, never been to the Doyt, but I hear it's stellar!

Yeah, Boise's scheduled to come to the Doyt in the 2006 season. Should be a great game as well. Possibly Anthony Turner's home debut as a starter too.

Thinking ahead, Miami will probably be coming to BG in '06 as well. How bout that? Not just one, but two (three if you count wisky in Cleveland) good home games in 2006. I guess this helps to make up for the horrible home schedules that we've had for a few years now.

I love College Gameday and the halftime and wrapup shows but can't stand listening to Alberts and Mark May argue back and forth. Where do they find these choch nuggets??? They are horrible. And they HATE seeing the "mid majors" making so much noise these days.
Alberts is just mad cuz he knows BG and Boise State would beat his 'Huskers these days.

Corso? He can be funny and yet totally annoying at the same time. As far as his comments? Consider the source.

The one I CAN'T STAND is Craig "I'm an idiot" James. This guy played where???? SMU??? Yet he rips on the MAC and all the other non-BCS leagues. He has "Everlast" written all over his forehead.
He makes me :vom:

i agree wholeheartedly about james.

he may be even worse than trev "my momma still breast-feeds me" alberts.

if i'm not mistaken, craig james didn't include Boise State in his Yahoo! Sports Top 25 poll last year until we went 11-0 (how do you go 10-0 and not get ranked?).

and even then, he dismissed us as a weak team who preys on weaker teams. like SMU, for instance.

hmmm... i just realized i put "craig james" and "yahoo" in the same sentence... how ironic. :|

You must not have read our board after the debacle at TU. I doubt Corso said anything many of our own hadn't already said.

It was innapropriate to bring it up, at the MACC referring to UT and Miami. Many Miami fans were irked at the disrespect they showed Miami, saying how vastly superior UT was, and how Miami was a fluke.... we do tend to back into championships though, don't we...
