"On the other hand, it's almost definite Antonio Daniels will relocate, either to Cleveland or Utah, both of whom figure to offer mid-level maximum deals and starting spots, something he can't get in Seattle because of Luke Ridnour."

I think it'd be great to see him and Keith playing together. Of course, I won't believe anything until I see it.

AD at Utah????
Not sure that makes any sense for AD, cuz isnt' McCleod already the starting pg there? He's better off at Cleveland. I havent' been able to watch a single AD game since he left the Spurs. It possible that I'm more likley to see a Cavs game on tv around here than Utah.

Falconboy, Keith was the started for awhile but that's because Utah was suffering from load of injuries. With thinking about this more, if AD did go to Utah, Keith could actually get bumped off the roster. He was their 3rd PG last year if memory serves me right...

Okay, whatever. I still rather see AD with Cavs that Utah. The Cavs have the better upside as to pertains to challenging for the playoffs with Lebron.McMetz811 wrote:Falconboy, Keith was the started for awhile but that's because Utah was suffering from load of injuries. I still would love to see him in Cleveland as well. I was just saying it'd be neat to see our only 2 Falcons in the NBA on the court together.falconboy wrote:Okay, whatever. It would be a drag to see Daniels and McLeod on the same team competing with each other for minutes.McMetz811 wrote:I still would love to see him in Cleveland as well. Cleveland's a far better opportunity for AD anyway.
As far as McLeod getting bumped off of the roster, I'm betting against it. His D ball handling are too solid. However, Keith needs to become a more consistent scoring threat. He certainly showed flashes last year, but if he's going to be the starter at PG, he needs to double his ppg and get his apg up to 7.

According to, whoever this guy from the sporting news is, Utah is taking McLeod's replacement at the draft.

I've been a Jazz fan for 12 years now and I can promise you that Keith is not going ANYWHERE. Sloan loves his effort and his ability to improve, he plays Sloan ball to a T! Being a BGSU alum I know how good Keith is and I loved watching him play this year. He had some great games and some poor ones, but the most important thing is that he continued to improve as the year went on and Sloan noticed. Utah is looking to bring in a veteran PG so that Lopez and McLeod can get leadership from them. Someone like a Stoudamire or Daniels or Brevin Knight are good choices. I would be very disappointed if we went after a PG for our first pick because why take away good players with NBA experience and tons of potential for a rookie? Makes no sense to me. Thats how I see things panning out....

Has anyone else seen all of the chatter about AD going to the Heat? I've seen a number of articles over the past week or so mentioning his name as a good fit with the Heat, the most recent being in the Miami Herald. I kind of like the thought of AD being a member of the Heat.
The Heat prefers Jones doesn't opt out of his $2.75 million contract for 2005-06. But because there are capable free-agent point guards (such as Earl Watson and Antonio Daniels), there's indecision internally about how hard the Heat should pursue Jones if he does opt out. His defensive woes and late hours enjoying the nightlife were a concern to some in the organization.

And the Cleveland rumors continue as well for AD, with this snippet from a Mercury News article. After the NBA draft this Tuesday, I would expect to see a little more happen in terms of visits and negotiations.
http://www.mercurynews.com/mld/mercuryn ... 986356.htmThe Cavaliers are believed to be targeting Seattle SuperSonics free-agent point guard Antonio Daniels. The Ohio native and former Bowling Green star won't be staying. Luke Ridnour is the starter, and he's coming off a career year. He also played for coach Mike Brown when both were with the San Antonio Spurs.
