GYMNASTICS......unFALCONbelievable!!!

Post by Metz »

They just won the 3 team match and BROKE THE ALL-TIME SCHOOL record!!! A lot of the girls tied school records individually or set personal bests as well! It was one heck of a match on senior day! Too bad it was the last home match of the year...these girls were great!!!

What he said, it was a sight to behold and our own President Ribeau and beautiful wife Paula were present to watch the smack down!!

And Mrs. Ribeau wanted to get over to the hockey game in the worst way!! She said so last night uptown at Sam B's. Glad she is a hockey fan!!!! :D

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

AWESOME JOB by all of the ladies!

They hit the bars, vault, beam, and all six hit their routines on the floor!

Kari Elste ties the school record on bars with a 9.95 on the bars (ties an NCAA champion).

Just an overall out-of-this-world performance by the ladies!

Congratulations to all the Falcon gymnasts who broke records, especially the seniors!! Everything just seemed to fall in place that night for the team. Couldn't have asked for a better situation for the final home meet!!

GOOD LUCK finishing out the season!!!

It was great seeing the cheerleaders there, too! Maybe that was the difference :D

She's my niece.

Is Jessica related to Jim Ewart (Race Secretary at Scioto Downs)?

Ewie has been a great addition to the team. Her skills are amazing and she really has a strong grasp of the "Team" concept you find lacking in some club gymnasts. She has been an absolute joy to know and work with.

Glad to hear that about her. I'm, of course, very proud of her.

I'm not surprised she did well on Beam. When she was about 3 she was walking on a 4 X 4 her dad put out for her (sat on the ground) learning that stuff. I'd say it's her best event, and always has been.
