There is no question BG can compete with Wisky.

Couple things to keep in mind, as good a coach as Alverez has been since coming to cheeseland, he drops early games to opponants who appear to the pundits as "overmatched" (UNLV, Cincy X 2 come to mind instantly) Frankly, I don't think BG is overmatched, but I assure you, Wisky will be the fav. in this game.

You stop the running game, and Wisky is in trouble. They do have a surprisingly effective passing game, though. But, it is based on them being able to keep the D guessing with the run threat.

Wisky's D is usually pretty stout against the run,. they can be beat on passes over the middle. Their LB's are typically no better than average overall, and that's balancing their ability for run support against their inability in coverage. It's not to say they are pathetic, it's just not the strength. They have a history of having at least one great DB on the field, so throw to the other guy.
I'll castrate myself with a powersander before I ever root for Michigan.

(REALLY HARD TO TYPE WITH A WISKY ACCENT... REALLY HARD.)

IF BG picks up it's D, and comes out firing on all cylinders they will ROCK Camp Randall, better than the Sway(Which is REALLY awesome to see....)
Ya hey der Bando. Dey can trounce all over my Bears, but the cheeseheads, dey got no shot against my Falcons eh.

Yeah, my mom's from way up der in da UP doncha know? Thats the closest I can come to sounding like a Yooper, without mentioning Beer, Pasties (MMmmmm...) or Lutefisk.

HAHA, my ex's roommate is from Green Bay, I heard great things about the Dells of Wisconsin(the indoor waterpark thing) She had a hilarious accent, we all took turns immitating... I was bad at it, I already have two bad accents, Kentucky/SOhio twangy accent, and the Youngstown nasal accent(where I am currently from, and where I was born and lived for 12 years.) The Wisky thing sounded BAD with all that... good thing, no one can immitate me, though evidently they are MARSHMELLOWS, not Marshmellons<-thought they were that for most of my life.

Well, after pushing down a woman and beating up some guy pretty bad, Buster Stanley got suspended. Guess how long?

2 practices! Good ole Barry Alvarez. Stanley pleaded not guilty. More later, I guess.

Reading into it (in another thread here), the University suspension is two practices, Alvarez still gets his say (that from the official Wisky site). Although basic wisdom says that the University would tend to come down harder than the coach, we'll see what Barry has in mind.

That's funny. Nevada-Las Vegas said you Badgers was easy.

this is a very physical football team who loves to cram there huge and i mean huge offensive line
Our line is bigger. Look at the spring depth charts. You are 302 across; we are 307.
and always a good running back down peoples throats
You've got "a good running back."

We've got The Pope.

when youve said Wisconsin youve said it all
Come on back when you can serve up more than cliches.

I respect Wisconsin. Try to earn it.

Well, Wisconsin has a few "big boys" as well. A couple of guys seem to go 6'7 315 , 6'8 ,6'6 as far as height goes. Wisky has some pretty tall guys at OL on their roster. http://www.uwbadgers.com/sport_news/fb/bios/

Okay........

If you guys read properly, okay mayabay it was my bad for not removeing the sentences that had no relation to my post when I clicked the "quote" button. I was referencing somebody who thought that our O-line was on average was bigger than Wisky's O-line. I went the Wisky roster to find out, and it appears that Wisky might actually be bigger than us with 4 or 5 guys that are 6'6 or taller. Thats all that that was for. I know you think its funny that I "seem" to have a "fascination" with big football players but , think about it , you need some big guys to play football , its a fact. Its not the sport for midgets(sorry if I offend any here). :-\

No one disputes that Wisky has some big boys on the O-Line. But BG does, too, something you have consistently refused to acknowledge.

Kinda graphic aren't we?  And what do you mean , I'm owned?? :? I actually think based on last roster listings , we are pretty average or below. The biggest guy on our O-line is probably Rob Warren who is 6'6 and 296 or so. The rest of the guys are around 300-305. UT's last year or one year averaged an O-line of 320lbs. Having a huge O-line hleps but , if your not going to have a huge offensive line then you'll need very athletic guys who can move well and know how to block well. The reason you all think I'm "obssesed" on size is because even though size is not everything all the time , it is what seperates us usually from the "big boys" of college football. The main reason why most peope might thing Wisky or anyother Big10 team would cush us is becuase they think that Mac teams are so small their team so so big and will physically dominate , ture for most of time.

I guess what I really mean to imply is that having the big players can help negate any physicality factor. Beyond that you have to rely on good coaching, smart players and some luck. Thats why a St. John's alum friend of mine didn't get a schollie to play football somewhere. Why cuz he's only 5'11 and 180. He was quite good at linebacker for the Titans , but no one is gonna give a schollie to a 5'11 180lb linebacker to play Div. 1 football.

BTW 1987Alum I'm a little worried, you have alot of those kind of pics lying around do you??
