Between the new uniforms for the players and the band, the new scorebaord and the good sized crowd, the atmosphere at the Doyt had a decidedly more "big time" feel to it.
I'm finally ready to say that we have fully recovered from the moribund era that ended 2000.
Great halftime show by the band and the men's chorale. I don't recall any haltime performance getting the standing ovation those kids received tonight. It was fantastic to see. (it it just me, or is the band numerically much larger this year?)
Welcome to "big time" football
Re: Welcome to "big time" football
Thanks for the comments about halftime! There is like 230 kids in the band this year and last year we had around 190 so we definitely went up!Flipper wrote:Between the new uniforms for the players and the band, the new scorebaord and the good sized crowd, the atmosphere at the Doyt had a decidedly more "big time" feel to it.

The difference in size was notably different this year. I made mention of it during the show how huge our band looked...and this with McMetz on crutches on the sidelineFlipper wrote:

I'm not a real big band guy, but they sounded awesome last night. Combined with the chorus, it was a fantastic halftime show. Great job guys and keep up the hard work!

Out of the 200+, I bet I was the easiest to find out there! Third game and I will be back on the field though for good...hammb wrote: The difference in size was notably different this year. I got some photos of you on the sideline propped up on your crutches...but I have NO AA batteries and can't get them off of my battery-dead camera right now.McMetz811 wrote:Out of the 200+, I bet I was the easiest to find out there!
