"BGSU tight end Steve Navarro, who is recovering from a stroke, will serve as honorary captain for the SEMO game and will walk out with fellow captains Mike Thaler, Jovon Burkes, Scott Mruczkowski, and Cole Magner."

Navarro's just an honorary captain. DiBacco's still the tight end for the year. Navarro will likely walk out in his jersey and warm up pants, and if SEMO loses the toss, tell the referee which way BG wants to go or kick/receive. (And I imagine he'll do it all to as thunderous an ovation as the ??,??? fans at the Doyt can muster.)BGSUfanatUT wrote: .....That means my man DiBacco wont be at TE anymore...

"Great to hear the Steve will be able to walk across the field. One step at a time."
Even more good news is that he's doing much better than merely being able to walk across the field. I think everyone will be surprised at how far along his recovery is. He should be back in school next semester and has mentioned trying to play next year. Who knows if that will actually happen, but it's great to hear that he is able to consider it at this point.

Have to say I was in tears watching Steve walk with the captains. If there is a model for hard work and dedication, It's Steve Navorro. I mean that is so impressive to see that young man back in BG and I hope that he is able to make it back to school and if it's meant to be, put some pads back on for the Falcons.
