For the record:
2005 Miami Football Schedule
Sat., Sept. 3 - at Ohio State
Sat., Sept. 10 - CENTRAL MICHIGAN, 2 p.m.(Homecoming)
Sat., Sept. 17 - at Kent State
Wed., Sept. 28 - CINCINNATI (ESPN2), 7 p.m.
Wed., Oct. 5 - at Northern Illinois (ESPN2)
Sat., Oct. 15 - AKRON, 2 p.m.
Sat., Oct. 22 - at Eastern Michigan
Sat., Oct. 29 - at Temple
Sat., Nov. 5 - BUFFALO, 2 p.m. (Parents' Weekend)
Tues., Nov. 15 - BOWLING GREEN (ESPN2), 7 p.m.
Mon., Nov. 21 - at Ohio
Thur., Dec. 1 - MAC Championship (Ford Field; Detroit/ESPN)
With this schedule, I can see Miami being either 7-2 (6-1), or 6-3 (6-1) by the time the BG game happens, with the MAC loss being @ NIU on a Wed. night. After our game with them, I think OU has the potential to knock them off in Athens with Solich in charge, but I just don't see that happening. They'll lose to OSU w/o a doubt, and I don't know enough about Cinci to say either way, but I'll pencil them in for a win.
Moral of the Story: Win on 11/15, and we'll win the MAC East.

fair enough. then i'll say there's no question we have the best lb's in the mac, though. unfortunately, they're gone after this year.kdog27 wrote:You may have the best defense but I don't think it is so cut and dry that you could say "there's no question...". Kent St. came on pretty strong last year particulary at the end of the season.redhawk95 wrote: there's no question we have the best defense in the league, but do have to replace some quality d-linemen. our linebackers and secondary are very good.

right. i could definitely see us losing in dekalb, but not in athens. i think we'll give osu a better game than the score reflected in ann arbor last year, however. i'm not going to predict a W, osu is loaded, but i think we'll hang tough at the very least. sUCks is rebuilding this year and that game is at home, on national TV. we beat cincinnati this year.bgmaggot00 wrote:For the record:

Miami will give OSU all they can handle...bank on that.
The Hawks will not lose to Ohio...they've own the Bobcats over the years, home or away.
A loss in DeKalb is very possible...tough place to win as we know.
Miami should beat Cincy but the game that makes me wonder is the Kent road game. Kent usually gives Miami a rough time at Dix Stadium.
At any rate, the Hawks will be a solid team again and we will need to win in Oxford to win the East.

i think we will be 8-3, i think we will lose to Wisc, BSU, and Miami... all tough road games!
4th & 13 on PU 32yd line.. 56,000 fans up on their feet screaming, i held my breath the entire play trying to make as little noise as possible.. wouldnt u know Sharon would make the biggest touchdown catch in the history of BG Football, FALCON UP!
Personally, being the optimist I am, I believe that BG will finish the season 9-2(7-0) in regular season play. I think the only two losses will be to Boise State (on the crazy blue turf) and Wisconsin. I think (no offense to my fellow fans) that Boise just has the upper hand on Bg and Wisconsin is just 'cause I needed another loss...and I didn't really wanna give another MAC team credit for a BG defeat.

See? The mere idea of a dictionary-wielding smiley has already resulted in one proofreading.
