KDog, me too, because I'm hoping they'll take the 3-times MAC East champs to a closer to New Years Day Bowl, with an in excess of 1.2 Mil payout. (Not the Indy Bowl AGAIN!)

you emphasize that like you've been forced to go to the Independence Bowl every year for the last 20 years. Its been once. And before your 2003 GMAC Bowl, it was 1986 since your previous bowl.

While I'm all for "reaching for the stars" and the million dollar payouts (and think BG has the team to crack into that group of bowls this year), if going to even the Motor City Bowl year in and year out means my school gets a bowl appearance, paint me happy. (Maybe not SATISFIED, but happy.)

TG-The Indy Bowl thing was a joke, I actually had a lot of fun down there. I wouldn't mind going back to Shreveport, the Bowl staff and everyone down there were extremely nice. One of our planes was late, and they were extremely accomodating about it(posteponed the Battle of the Bands for a little bit for us)

I'll take any bowl over no bowl, but it doesn't hurt to shoot for the moon, because even if ya fall short, you're still amongst the stars.

We don't wanna get started on what happenned the Miami's program after the '86 bowl game, and MAC Championship.... :?

Yager will look fantastic! Forces the rest of the MAC to keep up...and I'm sure BG will be just fine with our updated facilities when completed.

The MAC is a growing league....

I am actually kinda suprised Miami doesn't have more boxes at their stadium. The boxes on our west side look larger that the ones they have, plus we have them on the east side as well. With all the money that appears to be flowing into their program right now you would think there would be more demand.

How many times a year is the indoor facility actually used? Rumor was, that recruits saw it on the tour... but barely twice in their five year careers.
Speaking from direct experience as a student manager redskin, the rumor couldn't be more wrong. It was used quite often and I repeat my claim that such a facility, not fancy drawings of one, has been effective and the envy of many of our conference rivals.

FalconKing, the East stands are designed to take either Boxes, or a second deck, or both. The West Grandstand(Original) is actually built at a higher angle, and is larger, as far as I know, it is designed to have a second deck as well.

and the Ice Arena...

at the bottom is the new parking garage, to the right is the Rec, and at the very top is I think, Hamilton Hall and Central/Sorority Quad. That puts the New Goggin right in the center.

Actually, you are mostly correct. What you are looking at is the Rec on the right and the two facilities that are under construction are the parking garage (at the bottom left like you said) and the new Ice Arena (at the top which I believe you were calling the sorority/apartment complexes). Looking at it from that shot, if you were walking from Campus avenue up the sidewalk to the Rec, the parking garage is on your left first. Pass the steps to the Rec and you have the Ice Arena on your left there. These facilities are on the north side of the Rec and the apartment type complexes are not pictured but are on the south side of the Rec.

I was referring to across the street from the Rec, and the New Ice Arena.

TDR-That is my neck of the woods, 2SOUTH4LIF3!(Stanton Hall 2South) Across Oak Street is Central/Sorority Quad, and Hamilton Hall. (I used my Miami Memos, did you?

Also, where and when do you move in next year?

I see. I thought you were talking about the conglomerate of residencial buildings going up behind the Rec. Since you seem to know about them, are those going to be apartments or are they dorms? Looks like a lot of apartments to me. To answer your question, I currently live in Candlewood Terrace and will up until next July (a year from now). Also, I post on MHT under Roudebush Rocket.

BTW, will the new Ice Arena be called Goggin also?

The new housing is Graduate student Apartments... fully furnished... and very Miami...

As for having not a single Luxury box, it has been much to the befundlement of many at Miami... but they have their plans and I trust them implicitly much the way you guys should trust Krebs!
