BG Season Tickets - East Side or West Side?
BG Season Tickets - East Side or West Side?
I was just curious where most of you had season tickets, on the East side or West side and which side you recommended and why? I'm going to try and buy them this summer if I move and wanted some opinion. I always sat on the West side as a student but have been getting single game tickets on the East side as an alum when I come back. Let me know your thoughts.
Also, for those of you who picked your season tickets seats, did you do this by ordering season tickets over the phone?

GO BG!!!
I prefer the West side. The usual wind out of the west is blocked somewhat by the stands, but is right in your face on the East side. Also, with mostly 6 pm kickoffs on the schedule now, the East side has to look into the setting sun. So for no football-related reasons whatsoever, I prefer the West side.

I am an "eastie" also. The sun is not a problem normally, and feels pretty nice on some of those chilly afternoons. I agree too, that it is closer to where we tailgate in Lot L, so that is a plus. The football plus is that you are looking at the BG sidline from the front but farther away, and the band plays 90% of the time to the west side, which I have NEVER understood.

I haven't in a few years. When I was still a student there were a couple times. The best game was the '01 UT game. Guys had a 5 gallon bucket of hairy buffalo, and the entire student section was CRAZY for that one...of course we then took down the goalpostsWarthog wrote:I've never seen any flashing at a BG football game.

Westside or East?
The Freak, Ed and Michelle, Joyce and I are all in a 2 row area on the W.Side....rows 23 and 24 I believe( without rechecking)...I love the view from the 50 yd. line...we're approx. halfway up in the stands, which gives us enough height to see over the BG bench, yet close enough to see the players and some sideline "conversations".
Not as important, but interesting nonetheless, is that possible recruits are seated in the lower sections (below walkways) almost directly below us and it's fun to see the different school letter jackets represented... not to mention being amazed at how many of these kids come to the BG games throughout the course of a full season.

I was a west-sider, but I made the switch to being an east-sider the past two seasons. Both sides work for me and believe it or not, the game is the same no matter which side you sit on. They're both fine in my book and I have no real preference. I guess the nice thing about being on the east side is that you can see how truly crass and dumb the oppositions fans are. Wait, that might be a negative.

For a long time I was a West sider, then I move to a bleacher bum in the endzones for all of last year and to the East side for the spring game this year. Of all the places, the West side is best to watch the games in my opinion. I used to sit with my dad who has season tickets up in the top row which is actually nice. When it rains, the top few rows don't get wet and it keeps the wind down. But sitting down by the students with the band was the best.
During away games I always try to sit right behind the bench if I can. So I guess you can say the closer to the action I am, the better.

The last time a think is was on the east side was when I was like 8 or something. For the last several years that I'v been going to football games its all been the west side for me.
