Non-MAC Bracket Buster Road Teams Who Could Play BG

Post by BGSU33 »

Somewhere in the list below lies our opponent for the Bracket Buster. Since we play Bradley already at home, that would probably get nixed. I wouldn't be surprised to see us play a regional team like: Cleveland State, Loyola, Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Illinois State or Southern Illinois.

It would be fun to welcome back Raheem Moss if CSU came to town, wouldn't it?!

Cleveland State
Loyola
Wisconsin-Milwaukee
Bradley
Illinois State
Southern Illinois
Wichita State
Arkansas-Little Rock
New Orleans
San Jose State
SMU
UTEP
Vermont
Northern Arizona
Portland State
Weber State
Cal State-Northridge
Virginia Commonwealth
Drexel
Manhattan
Niagara
Oral Roberts
Valparaiso
Austin Peay
Murray State
Georgia Southern
Tennessee-Chattanooga

Pseudo former Falcon Maurier Angui (he spent a summer, or part of a summer anyway, with the program) should finally hit a collegiate court this year with Portland State. He'll be a 21 year old freshman.

As evidenced by the past two years . . . Bracket Buster is a made-for-TV event in which the match-ups will be announced in early Feb. so that ESPN does not stick their neck out on the line and guarantee games like they have in the past. They will do their best to avoid the Gonzaga-Tulsa example from a year ago.

If we're good, then we'll play a team that is good. If we have the type of season that we have experienced the past 3 then Cleveland State would be a likely candidate.

I was thinking CSU as well.
Hopefully we'll play better and avoid that matchup.
