We get fired up about the Wright Brothers? My god, Wilbur married into my family! I could care less about NC, I mean they flew most of their flights in Ohio, and besides there is a reason WE are the Birthplace of Aviation... the LITERAL Birthplace of Aviation Pioneers. Idiots....

What is UNC using it for? just trying to copy us...they suck, this is another reason to add to why I hate them, and you should too.

They've got a similar story of an old professor/student/something that introduced the song to the student body and band. The origins before that are a little hazy, except that they claim theirs started about 5-10 years after Gilbert Fox introduced ours.

Since its originally derived from a Zulu war chant (and various websites back this up as well), its not out of the question that two schools could have picked up on it, though its pretty evident that we had it first.

(I used to work with two "Carolina" grads and they would fight about this every football and basketball season).
