2 BG players listed in the top 30 NHL draft propects

Post by BGFan »

Jonathan Sigalet and Jonathan Matsumoto are 6th and 8th respectively.

Some interesting things to note:
1) 8 CCHA schools were represented with 10 total players. Of those schools 2 had 2 players, BG and WMU. BG's were ranked 6th and 8th, WMU's were ranked 18th and 29th.

2) 2 CCHA schools had players ranked above BG. OSU had the number 3 player and UM had the number 4 player.

3) 2 players ranked 6th and 8th trumps OSU's and UM's single higher ranked players IMO.

4) Miami had the 7th ranked player. The other schools players that were ranked are as follows:

18, 29 - WMU
20 - Notre Dame
24 - UNO
25 - UAF

Recruiting at BG has come a long way in recent years! :D

"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."
