NIU QB Josh Haldi

Post by BGSU33 »

According to the guys on the NIU board, NIU starting QB Josh Haldi will have his foot re-evaluated for the week of the BG/NIU game. Knowing how big this game is for both teams, I expect to see him play. I'd love to see Haldi be able to come back for his senior season, but I'd love to see it happen AFTER the BG game. He had a tough go with BG last year, but he had a heck of a season and is a very good QB.
GO BG!!!

I think he will play, too.
Actually, I hope he does so when we beat them, they'll have no excuses!

Personally, I don't get this thing about excuses. A win is a win. Who cares if they have an excuse? I'd rather win the game than the argument.

Having said that, I would think they would hold him out vs. ISU, and try to have him ready for us. It shouldn't matter to us if he plays or not, but I'll be perfectly happy to see him on the sidelines. I'll take every break I can get.

If Haldi is still trying to recover and they play him anyway, it could be worse (for NIU) than playing their backup who's doing pretty well so far.

Phil Horvath, the backup QB, is 30-58 for 367 yards, 2 TD's and 2 INTs.
