McLeod Update!!

I heard from someone very close to Keith today. Sounds like things could be looking very good for him this season!

He was picked by NBA.com as one of eight "Top Performers" in summer league action. The other 7 players were 1st round draft picks and already have million dollar guaranteed contracts.

Last week, Keith worked out for the Spurs, this week he'll be in both Denver (today through Wednesday) and then Utah (Wed - Sat). He's looking for a guaranteed contract this year!!

I think his steady improvement and work ethic are starting to really show and the performances in the Minnesota summer league turned some heads. Sure would be great to see him as a permanent member of an NBA roster this season!

This is from the Rocky Mountain News this morning:

"Vandeweghe said the Nuggets, seeking a third point guard, have invited Keith McLeod to training camp. McLeod, a rookie last season with Minnesota, has been offered a nonguaranteed deal for the $620,046 minimum. McLeod, who recently worked out in Denver, also has been invited to Minnesota's camp and Utah soon could make an offer. He'll decide in a week or two . . ."
