Missing the season
Fellow Falcons Friends,
We received our orders this past weekend for a 1 year sunny vacation where there is plenty of sand, little beach, & some of the natives are not too friendly.
It will be the first BG Football Season I will miss since first attending the university back in 1988. Unfortunately, without getting too specific on our time schedule, it appears I will miss the next season as well, since we are not potentially due back until late 2006. Hopefully in time for the bowl game next season!
Looks like I should be able to catch the Wisconsin game on TV, as we do not leave until a little later in the month.
I will try to check-in once in a while to see how the season is unfolding & to keep everyone up-to-date.
If anyone has ability to record the televised games, I would be more than happy to view them while down-range.
I will still be lurking around here when I can until I leave to learn the latest on the upcoming season.
PM me if you would like my official email address & if anything changes I will let everyone know.
GOOD LUCK FALCONS!

GOOD LUCK!!!!
We wish you a safe journey there and back. We will be thinking of you often. I will, especially, be thinking of you when the Falcon Icers play the Bucks!! Will you have access to the computer to keep up on things here???? It would be great to get monthly (or more often) reports on how you are doing over there. A friend of ours recently returned from Bagdad and while there sent weekly emails telling us what he was up to (as much as he could). Thank you for what you and your fellow troops are doing for us over here!!! GODSPEED!!!
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Mitch: Since I know you will miss seeing the Falcon Icers play (as well as the football team, of course), I found out that there is an Iraq Indoor Hockey League!!! Maybe you could go and watch them play!!! Here is a thread from USCHO that someone posted about it asking for equipment donations for them!MajorFalcon92 wrote:SaxyIrishTenor wrote:Oh Lord.
