Potential BG rec. Moten to visit Virginia (OLD THREAD ALERT)

Post by BGSU33 »

This article was in today's paper here in Charlottesville. BG recruit Brian Moten is visiting Virginia this weekend and the article mentions BG as one of his finalists schools along with Auburn, Florida State and Kansas State. Let's hope BG can snag him, we sure as heck could use him right away.

We might be able to make him think this is Kansas with all of the corn.

But I don't see us getting him. The chances of this Brian Moten coming here is as good as John Kerry getting a personality. :-\ I think it's very unlikely he'd come here. Besides , whats to attract him here anyway? :?: Exactly. :ugh:

That's the spirit! :( Under that rationale, how do we ever get anyone?

I had to re-instate the much maligned zing emoticon for that one. Well played, Flipper!!

I'm glad this happened after all. When I first started this thread, I didn't think we had much of a chance because it was later reported down here after I made the post that he was coming here to Virginia. Looking back at this thread, it brings a huge smile to my face!

2 Guard

It looks like a log jam at the 2 guard (Wright, Clements, Moten, Samarco, Wilson). We're probably looking at least one Red Shirt . Hopefully one of these guys can play point. Any chance they consider Wright again at point?

I hope not. I think Wright is much more effective at the 2... or even as a small 3, slashing to the basket and creating shots. I think we'll have line changes this year instead of substitutions. :-)

I agree with that, I see Wrights potential as a RIP Hamilton style player. Constant motion, slashing around picks, going to the hole or pulling up for a 12 footer.

I just think it would be nice to some how get an upgrade at point.
