Yes I always looked up to UCF because they play in the Citrus Bowl

What, you wouldn't take 0-11 for the opportunity to play in a 3/4 empty stadium that isn't even on campus?

Hey guys, I just figured it out. I think we are supposed to be jealous of a bunch of teams who don't have their own stadiums and therefore have to travel to mostly empty off campus sites.

Wow, Mr. Herd ---- what noise you make. Just remember who brought Marshall out of the doldrums and into real-life football. That would be the MAC. Otherwise you'd still be playing the Southwest Northest Slowbokum States. And yes, you had a good run in the MAC but it was obvious that it wasn't going to last ----- Akron started kicking your butt and then everbody else tuned in. Bowling Green embarrassed you last year, and I think that would have been the pattern this year if you hadn't joined that soon to be bottom dweller conference.

You need to be nice on these boards. Instead of being so hard on this Herd fan, we ought to be celebrating Marshalls success.....after all it looks like they taught this guy how to read and write....which is saying something for a herd grad.

Hey Marshall, guess what....

C-USA isn't big time, and frankly, I'd rate it behind the MAC.

Memphis - Sucks
UCF - Sucks
Tulane - Sucks
UTEP - Sucks
Houston - Sucks
UAB - Sucks

How do you like them apples? Here's to sweet dreams of Mike Nugent kicking 55 yard FG's as the game clock expires, nitwit.

Dude, no offense, but that's not something to be really proud of. Big Ten schools are suppose to cream MAC schools.

You know, one of the reasons I was glad to be down here was that I wouldn't have to watch Marshall play ever again. But since we have two college teasm here in Houston, and seeings as that both of those teams are in CUSA, I am going to have to put up with some of these idiots coming down here every now and then to watch their beloved team get the heck beat out of them. Oh, and by the way moron, UH doesn't play in Reliant Stadium except for big time schools like Miami (FL), and other big time programs that they know are going to oversell Robertson, which is on campus. I'm going to take a wild guess and say that you are never going to be relevenant enough to play Reliant. Here's to the idiots from Shunington leaving our beloved conference where they were beginning to be noncompetitive, and going to a conference were they are still not going to be able to compete for a conference championship.

I disagree with the Memphis part of your post. Having actually seen them play, I think they have a very good football team, it's just too bad it's in C-USTexas.

And mrherd05 - not quite sure what you are so happy about. UCF is joining you in C-USTexas and we all know that they are a football powerhouse and are going to do nothing but claim championship after championship over your @$$e$ year in and year out.According to UCF, the Heard ain't ....

NIU - uhh..who know
BGSU - Bowling Green High School Field
Miami - HAHAHAHAHA
UT - not bad...for a small castle

Come on ladies enough of the jealousy...

So BGSU, Miami, NIU and UT are more recognizable that the teams you just listed...hahaha

How many bowl tie ins does the MAC have

How much of the bowl expense bill does the MAC pick up for each team...NONE...not like in CUSA...

HAHAHAHAAH

I'm not a big fan of CFN, but I don't have a preview mag. with me so I'll have to reference CFN's rankings.

That C-USA sure is an impressive league. Their top ranked school is UAB at #67. Marshall is sitting comfortably at #80. I'll never bash what Marshall did during their short stint in the MAC, but they were passed by in their last two years and, obviously, they wouldn't have competed for the championship this year.

C-USA needs to worry about their bowl affiliations too as they have lost two of the teams that usually represented them and another team that was up-and-coming.

Yeah, I don't care about what is "supposed to" happen according to the talking heads of college football. If I recall correctly, Marshall also gave Georgia all it could handle last year as well. Aren't SEC teams "Supposed to" crush MAC teams too? All I'm saying is, anyone who falls in to the tired refrain of Big Ten Schools should crush MAC schools, or SEC Schools should crush MAC schools - regardless of the team in question, should not be taken seriously. They are either just trying to get you riled up, or they don't know much about college football today. Ohio State would crush Directional Michigan. Ohio State, conversely, would have its hands full with BGSU and Miami Ohio (Should say "will have its hands full), and would be unwise to overlook teams like Toledo and maybe NIU.

In any case, I was merely trying to make this Marshall fan relive the pain and misery of losing to Ohio State on a last second FG.

transfer2BGSU - OK, re: Memphis, would you settle for
Memphis - Swallows

Don't let it go to your head. My sunshine blowing days are limited.

We don't need to delve into discussions with Herd fans who have difficulty with facts, logic, and common decency.

Facts:
*Marshall won the MAC. This is fact. They failed to win the MAC once they had to play by the rules. (NCAA imposed penalties.)

*They were consistant at all the other sports the MAC has to offer. Consistantly BAD. Yes, their girls teams had a decent run of a year, but that's really all.

*BG has the historical advantage (football) over the Herd: 20 wins only 7 losses.

*BG has more MAC championships in all sports.

*BG is in a more stable conference than is the Herd.

*BG has a higher graduation rate.

No reasoned person would yell at a baby. Why must we banter with Herd fans?
