What Falcon Players Jersey(s) Have You Owned?
I was thinking about this the other day about the players I have liked and actually gone so far as purchased their uniform. . . I immortalized my uni purchases in my graphic below.
Who have you purchased?
Bonus points for naming all of mine!

Three are cake. The hoops jersey seems horribly familiar, but I can't place it. Obviously either before, or well after my time. (Mike Swanson wasn't #11, was he?
)
The only "official" BG jersey I own is the old school road hockey jersey. No name/number on it, though.

I have Omar and Josh Harris on the football side, I am the biggest Josh Almanson fan so I have his white #2 jersey, and I have the home BG Hockey jersey with nothing on the back. I am thinking of taking it to a place sometime and having either Blake or Holzinger's name and number put on it. Maybe Jordan's if, or more like when he makes it to the NHL.
That dawned on me later. He was #14, even if he *was* worthy of "jersey envy"Dayons_Den wrote:Not Swanson.TG1996 wrote:Three are cake. The hoops jersey seems horribly familiar, but I can't place it. Obviously either before, or well after my time. (Mike Swanson wasn't #11, was he?)

I was never to big into wearing jerseys. It probably had to my fear of jinxing current BG players. For awhile there, I had an uncanny abilty to purchase jerseys of guys who would be out of their respective league shortly after I bought a jersey. I mean I was on a real tear there for awhile when I purchased Rashaan Salaam, Cade McNown and Curtis Enis jerseys. Hell, I even had a Kevin Orie jersey when he was with the Cubs and everyone thought he was going to be they next Ron Santo. The only jerseys that I ever owned where players had any real success was back in the day with Mark Grace and Chris Collinsworth jerseys, but I think they were relatively successful by the time I got a jersey. For years since, I think I just had a fear of wearing a BG player's jersey number, but last season I finally bit the bullet and purchased a PJ Pope jersey. I figured the best chances of overcoming my curse would be to pick a player with a holy name.
Luckily for PJ and my piece of mind, Pope had another outstanding year and effectively ended my jersey curse. So I think a few more jerseys could be in the near future for myself.[/i]

I have #90 away, #11 home, #90 home, #95 BROWN home from the late 90's and my fave jersey....#47 BROWN home from the 1985 MAC Title team. It was given to me by Mike Foor, Mrs. Freak's cousin who played on the D line for BGSU from 82-85. He also gave me a California Bowl hat a couple years ago.
Mike was 2nd Team All MAC in 1985, outta North Ridgeville.
Tis good to have a former BG Falcon in the extended family.

Not sure what you paid for it. If it's game worn and big and all that -- I'd consider buying it from you.tekekini wrote:I have an old #88 authentic one i bought at a toledo game few years ago when they were selling them...dont know who the player was cos i dont know what year the jersey is from
I'm going to get a No. 88 made up at some point... hopefully SBX will follow through on my e-mail.
I don't know who wore that number either -- but I saw my first Bowling Green games in 1988.
