NIU Football on 50,000 watt Chicago sports talk station

Post by NIUBro »

Just heard that WSCR 670 AM in Chicago will carry all NIU football games and some basketball games this season. The same station will also carry all White Sox games starting next season. Quite a coup since they carried U of Ill games last year.

Awesome! :supz:

Is it a one year deal or more?*

You can listen to the games online, if you really want to listen to an NIU game. I will not be listening to NIU games unless they play BG.

I think we can get that signal here in Ohio at night. I could be wrong.

Ehh.... just listen online and make them happy. I was just at home (West burbs of Chicago) and they were mentioning the now streaming web stuff during almost every commercial break. Something ya may not think about here in BG, is that streaming AM is incredibly useful for people who work in downtown Chicago, as the skyscrapers make it nearly impossible to pick up the AM stations. WGN radio (AM 720) is one of the most powerful stations in the country and they do the same thing @ www.wgnradio.com . Anyway, Go Huskies... at least, in the MAC West so we don't have to play UT two times in a row when we get to the MAC Championship up in Detroit.
