Have ever been to a baskeball game yet , mens or ladies?? Just wondering. Youv'e said you live in Parma suposedly near Columbus. And if you havent been to Anderson yet, will we see you at a game this year? I'm thinking a lady falcon game since you love with Kate Achter.

No he hasn't. He has been in Anderson Arena though...when he was here touring the campus. Don't you remember him saying how big the place looked?

It probably looks huge compared to his high school gym.

By the way, Parma is near Cleveland, not Columbus. Remember Drew Carey?......."Moon Over Parma"

Actually Cane, I would take that commuter lot behind the health center and tear out the pavement, resod it, and give it to the Marching Band for a practice field. I would then take that plot of land out by Poe Rd and Mercer Rd and make it into a commuter parking lot. We can make it a very large lot with even more parking spaces than are in that lot behind the health center. Then maybe students would quit complaining about never being able to find any parking spaces.

This also provides additional parking in the vicinity of the football stadium in case we were to ever need the additional parking after the stadium, ice arena, and field house lots filled completely.
What's that sentiment again, Transfer,? Here at BG we don't have parking problem . . .
...we have a walking problem.

God bless you Paul Olscamp!

There used to be talk of knocking down the north wall and adding seats. But that may be like putting a band aid on a broken leg. I think if we want to ever compete with the big boys and have a better home schedule we are going to need to build a larger arena. We could still nock down the North wall and move the Hockey team to Anderson arena.

No I haven't been to a Falcons game yet-just watched on FSN when it's on (or when Solar's not crashing the backboard. )

I am hoping to come out to a game this year depending on my schedule, I'm gonna be going to Tri-C this winter, and I'm still working 16 hours up at Wendy's, plus I golf, guitar, and I'm on my church youth board...so the second I get a chance to come up to BG to watch I'll be there!

Where did that idea come from? The ice arena holds 5000 as it is. By the time you knock the wall out of AA, install boards, ice, and seating you'll have less space than what the ice arena provides and more money involved then renovating the ice arena. AA is NOT a good place to put the hockey team.

There is currently a feasability study going on for the ice arena with a lot higher response rate to the questionaire than was expected. I don't recall AA being an option on any of the questions.

We should get a Convocation center that is similar to Ohio U. or even Cleveland State. These arenas are not to big and could also hold multiple entertainment events.

Actually, it would solve at least one problem: No more cleaning up after a puck hits the roof and takes out a florescent light tube.

As inadequate as Anderson Arena is, it is in many ways far more charming than the BGSU Ice Arena.

Also, I thought I heard that administrators would like to have a second sheet of ice on campus.

I'm intrigued by this idea. Basically, plop down some ice where the court is, knock out the north wall and build whatever the hockey team needs...

...if money weren't an issue this could yield a fundamentally better place to watch hockey.

It's an intriguing idea.

Of course, money is an issue, etc.

They are too big.

I think they have 13,000 and 11,000 seats respectively.

What in the world would we do with all that seating?

Not to mention CSU's has hosted NCAA Regionals and NCAA National Championships in men's and women's basketball and wrestling and volleyball respectively.

We need something between Wright State and EMU, I feel.
