Fun(d) raiser t-shirts?
Grant, who is the administrator of the website (for the unfamilar members/friends), has done this in the past to raise funds for our beloved space here on the world wide web. As this site grows and becomes more crowded it becomes a more fun environment to communicate in, but the cost of supporting it rises as well. Finding server space ain't cheap. That said, it's a new yr and i'm definitely interested in getting a new t-shirt to commemorate it.
From being an admin of my own website in the past I know it requires a lot of time and endlessly seems to consume money. This site has really become all of ours as I believe Grant has intended and I believe we should share some of the responsibility. I think it's also one of the best ways to invest in our growing fanbase, which helps everything from attendance to even recruiting. Not to mention it shows school spirit which we all have if we're here looking at this thread! I guess it would also help to ask if Grant is up for it this fall. First, I find it necessary to see what the general opinion is. Will anyone second this motion?

I second it. I also think we should look into doing a tent for the Marshall game (like last year's UT game).
We should also eat a more healthy diet and drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. Buckle your seatbelts and wear clean underwear. You never know when you might have an accident or an encounter with Kobe Bryant

If people want it, we'll do it!! I have a great idea for a NEW T-shirt if y'all would spring for them, but I don't want to sink the $$ in and be stuck with a gross of T's since we just did this last year.
Definitely would like to do a tent for the Marshall game too if everyone would want to. We talked briefly about it at the SEMO game and the consensus was that we get the next size up.
I have a few of last year's T-shirts left too. I think I only have large sizes left though. I'll do an inventory tonight when I get home and maybe we'll have a clearance sale.
Good thinking Truth! I'll leave the decision in the hands of the masses!! Maybe I'll do a mock-up of my t-shirt idea and get it online tonight too.

Sounds like a good idea. ..
I have been messing around with those Iron-on transfer things and have made some cool t-shirts, including the evolution from the old falcon head into the new. . .
I'd love to be able to help out with the design if possible. . .Maybe this could be an annual contest and the members of the site could vote on which design would be the shirt for the season and we could all wear them like they do at UMich and ND for their games. . . .

T-Shirt city!
Grant,
If you'll recall, I was kind enough to donate last yrs. t-shirt to my charming Houston brother, for his coming to support us at the NIU game last year. We tried to get together to get(buy of course) another one, which never seemed to work out.
If you can remember to bring them to Homecoming, put me in for an XL, and if I can convince my friend Joyce that she will look OK in orange (she thinks she doesn't), we may also spring for a L also if you've got them.
As to new shirts for this year, and the tent, I vote "GO FOR IT!" 8)

That's an interesting idea for a contest, DD. It seems there a lot of creative people on this forum, and it could turn into quite a competiton.
I'd love to see what you all come up with, and will defitnitely make the purchases.
