Am I missing something, or is it funny that this guy is picking Drew Tate to plug into a Meyer-type spread, while wanting Omar for a "standard passing attack?"

I think they got their terminology jumbled... when they said "spread", they were talking about a spread option, which involves the QB running around, obviously. But when they explained the RB's they wanted in the "standard passing attack", they talked about motions, screens and other options that seemed more like the spread attack.

I'm not one to compare BJ Lane to Reggie Bush, but that part of the column got me thinking about (and excited to see if its true) the talk of Pope and Lane in the backfield together in some sets this fall.
