i'd like to see Sharon make it at least, i think he has a chance, but i dont see both Sharon and Sanders when they are only taking 2 WRs
4th & 13 on PU 32yd line.. 56,000 fans up on their feet screaming, i held my breath the entire play trying to make as little noise as possible.. wouldnt u know Sharon would make the biggest touchdown catch in the history of BG Football, FALCON UP!

I'm kinda miffed they don't mention Martin Nance... Oh well, A BG offense and Miami D can't be bad at all! They should have these teams play the other all-conference teams. GO MAC!

If you have the best offense, the awards should reflect that.

I agree, but you cannot really complain about having 4 players out of 11 in a 12 team league. You cannot make everyone happy. Jennings and Deslauriers are good players too.

I would certainly take Desjardin on my team. He is like Cole Magner but 4 inches taller.

Also, All-MAC teams are made up of players with great individual accomplishments...these guys will have awesome personal stats regardless of their teams. In addition, both Pop Jennings and Dino DeLarentius are rated higher as pro prospects than Sharon or Sanders in the lists I have seen.

If anything...this thread is a great exercise to see how many ways we can butcher DeMaurier's name

If you want to know how to spell his name properly just ask Jelani Jordan. He spent 3 hours last year staring at the back of his jersey

I know a lot of people, including some here, dismiss Miami as not being as good as BG this year. I'll stand by my statement that they have a very good team with an excellent defense and and offense that could be very good if Betts steps up at all. As for the Betts bashers, I don't think he's as bad as they make him out to be.
No doubt 87, and my point was to acknowledge how many Miami guys are on the defensive list and not that it was too many. In my eyes, Miami, not BG, is the team to beat. They are defending East champs and have owned BG over the years. Until we top them, we are the hunters, not the hunted.
Miami is stacked on D....BG is stacked on O. I agree that Miami should be the fave. Back to back East Titles. Until someone replaces them at the top of the East, they are the team to beat. But I do believe BG can and will beat Miami this yr. If we want to win the East, we must beat them. I believe there is an urgency and hunger to get the job done in 2005.
But Miami is a very solid team.

GO FALCONS!!! 2005 MAC CHAMPS.

I hate to say this, because its against the philosophy of our coaching staff and many fans, but generally great defense shuts down great offense. Hopefully their defense is only great compared to the rest of the MAC, and not really great enough to shut down our offense.

If the best defense is playing the best offense, I'll pretty much take the best defense every time.

The same argument you are making against Deslaurier and Jennings could be made for them. Since they are the only weapons on their teams, they see double teams and schemes specifically for them and they still put up those numbers. Nothing against Sharon or Sanders, but you can't argue with either of those selections. And if you do argue against Deslaurier, you weren't at the EMU game last year.

Ok, how about this point then. Sanders and Sharon are going against the opponents best defense and getting their stats in two to three quarters of the game while watching the rest from the bench. Jennings and DeMarco play all four quarters, and most of the second halves of their games their teams are trailing by big amounts. This warrants them passing more to try to catch up and also them get "garbage" stats against the opponents second team defense late in the game. I would like to see a comparison of Jennings, DeLuccio, Sharon, and Sanders of their stats by quarter from last year.
