Martez Johnson and the Lexington Horsemen will be traveling to Soiux Falls, SD to take on the Soiux Falls Storm Indoor Bowl IV. They
beat the Ohio Valley Scrappers last Saturday to clinch the Atlantic Conference crown and advance to the Indoor Bowl. Ed andI were at the game and Martez looked great.

Johnson was named NIFL Atlantic East Division Offensive MVP in 2003, after gaining a total of 1,302 all-purpose yards for the Horsemen. He finished the regular season with 562 yards rushing, 71 receptions for 541 yards, and 32 total touchdowns, and ranked in the top ten in the league in several offensive categories, including scoring (196 pts, 2nd), yards rushing (562 yds, 8th), receptions (71, 6th), and all-purpose yards (1,302 yds, 6th).
Johnson played for three years at the University of Kentucky before transferring to Bowling Green State University in 2001. At Bowling Green, he played in all 11 games, rushing seven times for 62 yards. Johnson was Kentucky’s second-leading rusher in 2001, with 249 yards on 55 carries. As a sophomore in 2000, Johnson rushed for 61 yards on 15 carries, caught four passes for 29 yards, and returned 11 kickoffs for 174 yards
