Ah, you noticed Delaines siggy, eh?
Well, we had a funky cheer called "Give me a long 'f'" which was quite popular especially during the late 80's when the team was down by several TD's (CURSE YOU MOE ANKNEY!). The DM (moi or Delaine) would stand on the ladder and call out the cheer. It was quite fun. It was hip. It was funky.
Anyhoo, the idea of the cheer was to spell out FALCONS. Well, Jason - last name fails me right now - was down right in front of Delaine helping her with the spelling. Well, she looked down at him when she was suppose to say, "give me a loooong "L"!". He looked at her with a sly grin and formed the letter 'c' with his hand and was lipping the letter 'c'.
Delaine - being gullible - repeated the letter 'C' thus spelling the word FACCONS in front of the band, student section, and cheerleaders.
She was the short dweeb* that day, let me tell you.
*Okay, you can't DESCRIBE the cheer. It must be experienced.
