I had a class with Magner and a few others two years ago and he always sat in the front. Maybe because a coach peaked in the lecture hall a few times that semester. Who knows and who cares as long as they're eligible and will graduate I'm happy.

Being a Music major, I can't say I've had that many classes with the Athletes, but John Nicholson was in an Ed. class of mine last year, and he was always sitting right in the front as well. Doesn't bother me at all, I appreciate that the have to do work. Jeff

I saw PJ Pope getting off the shuttle yesterday...lazyass

haha JK, but PJ and I were in a small class together and he is one of the most laid back kids Ive ever met. Either that or he was always exhausted from practice! Anyways, I always think its funny when I see him get emotional on the field because I never saw that side of him. Fight on Falcons, beat N.I.Who

I saw Josh a few times in the Union my last year at BG (2002). Said hey, but didn't chat. He usually had a big group of friends around him.

Sat next to Kevin Netter in my TV class my senior year. At that time it WAS a Dan Dakich rule that all his players had to sit in the front row. And you better believe he did have people going to their classes randomly to make sure they were there & in the front row. I'm certain that Dan still has that rule. There were a number of football players in that class as well, they were not in the front row, however. This would've been the spring after Urban's first year here. Quite possible that it is a Brandon rule now that was not in effect under Meyer.
I had a geology class with Netter in 2000. If he actually came to class he slept through it and he always sat in the back.

Oh yeah I had a class with Harris too. It was 2001 where he came on really strong at the end of the year against Northwestern and Toledo. After that he would walk into class everyday with his headphones on saying "I got that fire" over and over all the time. All the hockey players were in the back and they would be like "shut the fxck up Harris, you ain't shxt."
It was always pretty funny

That's not surprising one bit. Hockey players are a different breed.

I took flag football one semester, and Leon Weathersby was in that class when he was playing here. Nice guy, and it was entertaining to watch him play up close, even when he was just dogging it. Playing against him wasn't much fun. I don't know whose decision it was to let me cover him, but it was a bad one. He scored many touchdowns.

I also took bowling one semester, in the old Union bowling alley (wish they would have added one in the new Union), and Steve Holmes and Chris Haneline were in there. Once Steve asked if I was coming to the game on Saturday, and he got pretty excited when I said I never missed one (keep in mind, this was toward the end of Blackney's reign, and NO ONE went to the games). That Saturday he ran for over 200 yards, which was pretty cool.

Leon was a great individual...He said he was going to "shoot up the place" after getting kicked out of a local beer joint, this was after a fellow co-worker of mine threw his butt into a trash can after he started a fight...what a class individual, can't believe he didn't last 4 years.
Friends don't let friends go to Toledo!!!
