But that falling concrete wouldn't seem to have much bearing on the basic integrity of the stadium. The pictures make that pretty clear.
This is a dumb question... is there any way the panels can be replaced by a new material? Concrete panels seem so 1960s. Maybe they can be removed and the whole stadium could be given a new look with alternating brown and orange panels made of something lighter?
Just paint the panels.... no need to change material. However, if the panels are coming down as someone else mentioned, it does not matter. The idea of hanging banners would be cool and colorful; the color and motion (if the wind ever blows in BG

) would make for a festive atmosphere... which is what you are all saying.
And Redskins4ever - concrete can be repaired, the stadium does not need to be replaced. Just repaired and updated. Like I stated earlier, the OSU horseshoe is concrete. The west stands at Yager are concrete and I think the new (and soon to be home stands - or at less the Redskins bench will be relocated to the student side) are concrete.
And God please...... its concrete not cement.... cement is an ingredent in concrete (Cement, gravel, sand, and water) The water and cement (which is a powder) combine for a chemcial reaction which bonds itself around the gravel (course aggregate) and sand (fine aggregate). The Beverly Hillbillies had a cement swimmiin' hole..... We Falcons have concrete buildings, stadiums, and aquatic facilities.
