Don't go through ebay. If you can't get them through normal channels (ie, the alumni office), go to Madison, and troll around Monroe and Regent streets before the game. You should be able to get them for just above face value. Hell, two years ago I got tickets to the OSU game for $50 each. You know, the night game where the Badgers ended "the streak" and Jim Sorgi was almost choked to death?

Welcome aboard Brianthedog.brianthedog wrote:Um, I'm a BG alum (PhD, 2000) who met my wife at BG. I also happen to be a Cheeshead who works for the UW-System.
Idiot.

I'm sure the above post is not the way you wanted to be greeted. Anyways, I would like to entend an olive branch and say greetings and salutations.
Also, there is a woman that was entering the laboratory I received my PhD who did her undergraduate work at Stevens Point. She talked very fondly of Stevens Point.

Flipper, UK...
Thanks guys !!! The best 5 years of my life were in BG.
I just wanted to point out that you DO NOT want to go through e-bay, based on personal experience with the scalpers in Madison from UW's biggest game at home in five years (ie, you can get a good deal from them if you are patient), and I get a line about how the Badgers should be happy they are not playing the Buckeyes and that Sorgi sucks. Oh well.
If anyone knows of a thread about pre-game partying in Madison, let me know, I haven't been able to find it. I will be roaming the board from now on, and can't wait until Sept. 3, and will be somewhere on Regent or State Street come 9 am.
UK--Point is a nice city, I did my undergrad here as well. My wife thinks it is a lot like BG.

Re: Flipper, UK...
Welcome, btg! I think there are various threads scattered about Madison plans, but nothing too big about the party plans. I'll be up there with six others staying downtown Friday-Monday, so there will certainly be a party going down somewhere. If you have any suggestions, feel free to start up the party thread!brianthedog wrote: If anyone knows of a thread about pre-game partying in Madison, let me know, I haven't been able to find it. (And who does UK think he is with this olive branch business... doesn't he know you're supposed to extend a laurel...and hearty handshake....
