Andy Sahm

Post by jmillerbg »

My favorite Andy Sahm moment occured in Lawrence, Kansas against the Jayhawks. Andy ran some type of QB sneak/draw and it went for about 50 yards, but he was chased down by a CB/safety and tackled at about the 5 yard line. I laughed at that for several minutes.

Um, yeah... Okay then.

Maybe there were, but regardless, I think he's better off here than WVU for sure, and quite possibly Iowa as well

I agree, he is better off here. And I'm not asking you to believe me. Just providing others on the board who care about BG athletics, as I do, information. Trust me, I'm not here to feed my ego about what I know about BG football.

i think that there were some academi qualification issues regarding anthony. i remember a discussion last year, i think when the site was all orange, otherwise i'd look for it in the archives.

Hey Capital City Falcon,

Did you happen to catch CJ vs. Loveland in Anthony's Junior year, first round of the state playoffs. CJ handled Loveland in a great defensive struggle (18-0 I think). But my point is if you saw that game, Corey was #11 that did everything for Loveland. Just thought you might like that little bit of trivia.

I was definately at that game. That was Anthony's senior year. Wow and it was something. It was a very uncharacteristic game. I spoke with several of the Loveland faithful and they were equally surprised. CJ's offense was absolutely explosive and the defense was good but not shutout good. To win 18-0 was odd. However I do remember Corey if I recall correctly he played QB but it was more like a single wing offense. I remember the shotgun formation and alot of QB designed runs. From the Loveland fans I talked to Corey carried there team all year. Loveland has some good fans and I enjoyed the opportunity to talk to them.

Not really something I will elaborate about on a free message board. Just understand there were defintely circumstances around his recruitment that did not allow him to go to WVU or Iowa.
If you cannot tell us the reasons than don't comment on it at all. Just makes is seem like you are blowing smoke.

Than he fumbled the next play. I also believe that 63 yard play was the longest play we had all season. Pretty weird that Sahm had the longest play when we averaged 500 yards a game.

Well, no matter how we landed Anthony Turner, I am excited he is a Falcon and I'm excited to see him grow and develop over the years at BG.

Ok, if that's what it seems, I'm sorry. Hopefully in the future I will be able to answer questions that will show you I know what I'm talking about.

That's what I was getting at. Information is always welcome, and we understand if you have a need to keep it on the hush, but we've seen way too many "My frat buddy saw Omar talking to a cop outside Downtown, he's gonna be suspended." type posts to take very many "trust me, I know what I'm saying" posts all that seriously.

Omar is geting suspended? Aw crap...I wish Turner hadn't transferred to Iowa and WVU simultaneously. Now we'll have to try and convince the rest of the league that Josh Harris is Freddie Barnes

At the time, that run was the longest non-scoring run in BGSU history. I think either PJ or BJ had a longer run last year that didn't score. It must have taken Andy 10 minutes to run those 63 yards and I laughed the entire way down the field. I think he got caught from behind by a defensive tackle.
