Gradkowski chat on ESPN
I had to laugh at the guy that wrote in "upsetting Pitt and BG". If beating your rival on your home turf is an "upset", then I like your envy.

Yes, but Whitehurst has Rob Spence as OC and quarterbacks coach now at Clemson. Spence is a mastermind. Watch Whitehurst develop big time and end up in the NFL.

Classy Posts
Some of you guys are really classy with your comments.
And yes, he didn't mention Omar but only gave 4 QB's. As a UT football player he probably had trouble saying anything about BG, and didn't want to mention someone he has to play against......so he left Omar's name out but only mentioned 4 names because he knows Omar is one of the top QB's.
For the einstein that said "Minnesota".........Bruce doesn't play defense so why blame him? Bruce was 19 of 30 (63%) for 202 yards and 1 TD with 0 INT's against Minnesota. Not great numbers, but not bad numbers either. Were your comments because you still feel the sting of the UT/BG game last season and you had to come up with someone that was able to beat Toledo?

As per usual RF, it was a joke. Not everything is so darned important that it needs analyzed to death...but thanks for stopping byrocketfootball wrote:Some of you guys are really classy with your comments.

huh?
First, how do you know I have a UT education? Isn't there someone that posts on here that goes to UT but is a BG fan? Do you crack on him and his education too?mk455 wrote:byebye now. i dont like reading posts that were derived from a turdledo education when i come to these boards.
I said nothing bad about BG and you put me down. That is big of you!
Some of the posters here that also post on NCAAbbs know that I have had nothing but good comments to say about Omar Jacobs, which is not the norm from UT fans and is not the norm from BG fans when talking about Bruce Gradkowski. So don't stereotype someone before you know them.

He's a registered user but doesn't post, and yes, we cracked on him and his education all the time.rocketfootball wrote:Isn't there someone that posts on here that goes to UT but is a BG fan? Do you crack on him and his education too?

How sad. Nice way to alienate a fellow BG football fan. You should all be proud.Metz wrote:He's a registered user but doesn't post, and yes, we cracked on him and his education all the time.rocketfootball wrote:Isn't there someone that posts on here that goes to UT but is a BG fan? He had an education? I thought he went to Toledo.Metz wrote:He's a registered user but doesn't post, and yes, we cracked on him and his education all the time.
Seriously though, I hate Toledo and damn near all its fans with (what's the quote?) "the passion of 10,000 burning suns" (is that it?) But RF really didn't say anything out of the ordinary. If Broosh G. were a politician, then turning questions about his opponent to positives about himself would be the norm, why is this much different? And he's right about Minny, too. I loved watching the score of that game roll up (or was it the Kansas game? Which one did you give up 63 in?
We can all hate Toledo, but there's a reason I stay away from the MACBBS, and its this exact reason.... the names and expletives start flying as soon as the other school is mentioned. Not that it isn't warranted 85% of the time, but the other 15% makes for a very unpleasant time.
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna step off my soapbox and go scour my brain cells for the words I have just spoken.

Re: huh?
So when you crack on your good friends you are alienating them now? I happen to know the kid personally, hence why I said I cracked on him. I realize I made a typo and said "everyone" did, but let me rephrase, everyone that knows him does.rocketfootball wrote:How sad. Nice way to alienate a fellow BG football fan. PS...Gradkowski blows. Last year was a fluke. You will realize it soon enough.

You said that he is registered, but doesn't post. You said that everyone cracks on him and his education. Why would I possibly think you guys alienated him by cracking on him and his education? Silly me for thinking that!Metz wrote:So when you crack on your good friends you are alienating them now? I happen to know the kid personally, hence why I said I cracked on him. Last year was a fluke? For who? Gradkowski? He had similar stats in 2003 and in fact is the only player in DI history to complete over 70% of his passes in two consecutive seasons. Sure, you will say it is the system. However, Tavares Bolden didn't do that. Neither did any of the La Tech QB's that played for Rob Spence before he came to Toledo. Neither has any other QB that has played in a similar Spread offense that is run like Toledo's.
If you are saying that Toledo's MAC Championship last season was a fluke then I will point to 1995, 2001, and 2004 as three MAC Titles for Toledo since the last time BG won a MAC title.
I see you have built up anger towards Toledo, but let's get serious here. Both Toledo and Bowling Green have great football programs and either one could win the MAC title this year. So could NIU or Miami University, but I like the chances of UT and BG better. This is a BG board so I should expect you to believe BG will win the MAC title and Toledo won't, but to say that Bruce was a fluke last year just shows that you either don't really have a clue or are being just too ignorant.
Good luck against Wisconsin and Boise State in OOC play. You have a great chance of winning both games.
Re: huh?
Likewise for you guys too. If you can get past Fresno St. it will be easy sledding until November or so. I root for all the MAC teams OOC, what is good for them is good for us.rocketfootball wrote: Good luck against Wisconsin and Boise State in OOC play. You have a great chance of winning both games.

Wouldn't it be awesome if both UT and BG were 10-0 and ranked in the Top 20 when we meet at the Doyt?kdog27 wrote:Likewise for you guys too. We all love BG here, and I know that we're all pretty excited for the upcoming season. Lets just keep some things in perspective. I don't want to be sounding like some of the fans from bigger schools that give no credit to BG and talk arrogantly on boards when we're brought up. Everyone here should know what thats like and the perceptions that gives about their fans. In this thread some of the things are getting a little rediculous. Until we hoist that MAC Trophy up, lets give credit when credit is due. Gradkowski, if we're not careful could wind up with a winning record against BG! I'm not being pecimistic, just reserved when it comes to discussing a very good team that is going to, one way or another, be between us and the MAC title.
I know we like to poke fun at Bruce for his interview, and sometimes it is funny to roast someone over the coals, but I thought he handled himself just like any other BG player in the same position would have. His interview is great exposure for the MAC and Toledo. Ultimately, what is good for Toledo and the MAC is good for BG. I say good luck to Toledo and hopefully we'll see two undefeated teams at the end of the season! What a game that would be.

haha....jk Go BG!!!
