Couple of things:
1. Back off of RF. Sure he can hold his own, but he shouldn't have to. He's a great fan of both UT and the MAC. He also knows football and I enjoy his insight. Don't let it get to your head, RF. It's not like I want to pick out china patterns with you.
2. I echo BourbonFalcon's comments. The interview wasn't about BG. It was about Bruce G. I'm sure he didn't mention BG or Omar. He was probably TOLD not to mention them too much. Why? We are competitors on the field, but we are also competitors in the same market as well (NW Ohio). I was surprised when he gave Omar any compliment. That would be akin to my recommending other insurance companies to my customers.
3. I though the kid performed well. This was great exposure for not only UT but for the MAC as well. What is good for the MAC is good for BG.
4. BGfan@ut has been alienated, unfortunately, but not because of people rippin' on his education.

Also realize that Gradkowskimaisma or whatever it is also probably feels a little jealous at the attention Omar has gotten with this just being his 2nd year starting. Bruce has been leading his team for awhile and hasn't gotten a lot of good press till this year.
Excuse me, I gotta go boil my skin, I feel so dirty...

Bruce was tabbed last season as a preseason Heisman hopeful, albeit an outside Heisman hopeful. Toledo was getting a lot of press before the season began and it was mostly because of Bruce. He was on the watch list for the top QB award last season.
Of course the first two games shot that all down the tubes, even though Bruce didn't play badly in those games, but the attention was there.
While Omar is getting the majority of the press this year, Bruce is getting some too. He is featured in 4 or 5 commercials by the University promoting him and the team. He is on the watch list for the Maxwell award. He just did a chat session on ESPN. He is being considered as one of the top 5 or 6 QB's for the NFL draft next April. CFN has him ranked as the #4 college QB in terms of fantasy football.
I think getting that attention, knowing that you are the only player in Division I history to complete over 70% of your passes in two consecutive seasons, and knowing that you have two MAC Title rings (2001 redshirt year and 2004) and our the defending MAC Champions is enough for anyone to not be jealous of someone else.
Rightupinthere - thanks for the comments.
