LET THE DEFECTIONS BEGIN

Post by 04forheisman »

2 HAVE LEFT THE PROGRAM ALREADY, WITH HOLLAND BEING ONE OF OUR BIGGEST RECRUITS.

FRESHMEN LEFT:

MOTEN 6-4

WILSON 6-4

SULLIVAN 6-6

RADIVOJEVIC 6-7

MARSCHALL 6-7

OVER/UNDER ON THE REMAINING 5 MAKING IT 2 YEARS IN THIS PROGRAM?

I'M INCLINED TO TAKE THE UNDER

******This is a new low that we can't even keep freshmen until the fall semester starts. Go football!!

Does anyone really know the situation behind these players leaving yet? Isn't it a bit early to be screaming that something in the program is wrong that these two, untested and as of yet, non-value determined players have left. That and while holland may be one of our biggest recruits, I believe he scored less than 4 points and less than 10minutes playing time in 2 games in the kentucky/indiana all-star games. Or did you mean biggest in that he was 6-8.

Both, you have to be pretty damn good to play in a state all-star game...............it will be interesting to see hwere he ends up.

would be nice to have a talented 6-8 kid in our lineup, and a 6-11 one(oh yeah he transfered too) hopefully we have 5 kids left in november

Unbelievable!!!!!

Post by Falconboy »

Are we cursed or what? Unfreakinbelievable! Probably one of our best recruits in years doesn't make it until pratices! What the heck! How actually could Holland do this this late? He doesn't want to transfer does he and wait another year to play? Whats the thinking here, are they just not impressed by our school , coaching staff , facilities(probably  ) what? :? This makes me sick. This may not be the end of the world ,but this is still does not make me feel good about our recruiting abilites. Who cares if we "land" a major recruit if they don't even make it to practice!! Pathetic!!!! ::puke::

One player isn't on the roster. OMG! I can't say I'm not surprised by the way most of these comments are going, but this isn't office space. I think some of you should stay off of your jump to conclusions mats...

Hey Metz, you're the one who definitively said that Holland was no longer on the team. Do you know this for a fact, and can you say why he left?

I dunno...people have been complaining about my opinions lately anyways so I doubt it really matters.

Sorry, man. I am just curious. I wasn't trying to give you crap. Given our extreme lack of depth on the front line, I would imagine his reason for leaving to be very good.

Wasn't directing that to you, just everyone. But hey, I've heard things from people close to the team. Clements hasn't got into town yet so they don't have a number for him. I heard Holland never really showed up, but who knows if that's the truth.

Let's see how many are playing come the season. Before then, speculation will do nothing more than piss each other off.

As long as the uniforms are orange and brown and the mascots are Freddy & Frieda I"ll be around supporting and cheering the team on. The other stuff is somewhat secondary and very trite, if you think about it, to be worrying about.

In hte days of our glory if a Harold Anderson "recruit" left the program before the fall semester started, nobdy would even know.

There isn't much I can do about players leaving, switching to a zone defense in the second half, or continually starting a player who doesn't deserve it.

Doesn anybody know of any news or a blurb about mass defections at Miami (OH) Toledo , Akron , Western anybody? I've never heard a peep of any other school having this kind of player turnover. Something is still very wrong. Why are we giving schollies to kids that homebodies and are likely to leave. Coach Dakich needs to start getting in more in depth knowledge about these kids before we plunk down a schollie. If we keep doing this we're going to be going backwards even faster than ever before!

Yes...Kent lost a few kids this year. Toledo loses a few, but they usually wind up in Stan Joplin's crawlspace so no one notices. Miami lost a few, but thanks to a few well placed lost and found stations, they were able to locate them in time for supper.

They had chicken, mashed potatoes and peas. I think pork chops and apple sauce are on Thursday's menu.

"even faster than ever before"...

zing!
