I hear Jake Holmes is re-joining the team, although he's going to convert to Scientology first.

There's a "Tom Cruise is gay" joke in there, but that is one litigious midget, so I'm not going to be the one to make it.ZiggyZoomba wrote:I hear Jake Holmes is re-joining the team, although he's going to convert to Scientology first.
He can afford better lawyers...hey, maybe Botox will work pro bono?
(for all you UT guys, that's means for free and it has nothing to do with that guy from U2)

I do enough pro bono. Plus, I have to believe in my clients.Flipper wrote:There's a "Tom Cruise is gay" joke in there, but that is one litigious midget, so I'm not going to be the one to make it.ZiggyZoomba wrote:I hear Jake Holmes is re-joining the team, although he's going to convert to Scientology first.

Wow, memories seem to be short around here. How many people said we weren't going to win any games after lewis left and then after the season came back saying, alright that was an improvement and maybe losing lewis wasn't all that bad. For the Record O4H, I said holland had less than 4pts in 2 games.
I haven't seen one reason has to why this kid left, meaning it could have nothing to do with the program. That said we also don't have any clue how well he would have even fit into this system and how well he stacked up against everyone else who came in. For all we know, maybe he pussed out at practice and flaked on his own accord. I understand some amount of upsetness over a player leaving, I however don't understand the profound agony over this. He might be a good player that couldhave provided something for the team, then again he might do nothing. In all, a loss: yes a reason for dispair: no

I should edit your post to read "of course I'll help, Tom Cruise is evil incarnate and you and the notion of making fun of him are indeed just causes"Flipper wrote:[quote

I despise Tom Cruise. However, the thought of putting you up for a deposition is making me nauseous.
I believe you are referring to Richard M. "Jake" Holmes, as he is referred to in the following bio on the Savage & Associates website:ZiggyZoomba wrote:I hear Jake Holmes is re-joining the team, although he's going to convert to Scientology first.
Jake Holmes has been a member of Savage & Associates since June 2001. He specializes in corporate group benefits and family planning.
Experience
After graduating from college in 1999, Jake played basketball, briefly, in Poland. After he ended his basketball career, Jake worked for Spherion, a Fortune 500 human consulting firm. He has received his Life and Health license, along with his series 6 and 63. Jake is rapidly developing a large clientele of business owners and focused families.
Education
Jake attended St. Peter's College in Jersey City, New Jersey, where he received his bachelor of science degree in accounting in 1999. Jake received two All-MAAC academic awards and was selected as the SPC Men's basketball Scholar-Athlete of the Year in 1999.
Personal
Jake is single and actively involved in Catholic Youth Organizations, where he has coached girls basketball for the last three years. He still participates competitively in basketball and enjoys softball and golf.
