Omar Jacobs a Miami Dolphin!

Post by Anonymous »

I was listening to the Cowen Cowherd show on ESPN Radio this morning, and about 20 minutes ago they did the "Spanning the Globe" segement. At the end of the segment they were discussing the QB situation in Miami and saying that Miami has not had a QB since Dan Marino left. They listed off about 7 QBs, including, A.J Feely, Brian Greise, Gus Frerotte, Sage Rosenfels, Feidler and a few others. Then they said when do you think Miami will address their QB situation, and the Miami beat reporter said well I think they are waiting for an Matt Leinert or Omar Jacobs to come in and step in next year as the starter.

Wow!!! As much as I would hate to see Omar leave, how amazing would it be for Omar to be Miami starting QB. Amazing!!! Oh and by the way, Delray Beach is only 45.8 miles from Dolphins Stadium.

Omar

I've been saying since last November that Omar will probably end up going pro after this season. I am sure your backup QB, Anthony Turner, realizes this and that is why he doesn't mind where he is at. Next year he would be a sophomore and would have 3 years to be the starter for you.

Colin Cowherd is out today and Steve Mason is one of the guest hosts and of course ole Steve dropped the "kid from Bowling Green" line after the spanning the globe was over.

It was mentioned in a thread a few weeks back about Steve being a BG alum and former WBGU and WFAL jock and of course spending time with Diane at 93Q

Thanks for the additional infor Dan, I knew Colin was out, but not sure who was filling in, but still it would be cool to see Jacobs a Dolphin growing up on 45 miles from Miami

We thought Omar would have 3 years as a starter for us too. He might still, especially if we don't reach all of our goals this season.

Then again he could leave and Turner could be just as good and leave after 2 years. Wouldn't bother me one bit.

Don't take this the wrong way, because I'm not attacking anyone individually here and only stating this generally speaking, but I'm getting tired about hearing all this talk about Omar and the NFL, etc. It's been going on all summer, and with the season about to get underway, it's still going on. It's no wonder this stuff filters into a guy like Omar's mind even if he doesn't think about it himself when that's all everyone asks or talks about. Right now, Omar is a Falcon, and that's all I want to talk or think about. What happens after this year will happen then, not now. So as much as I would love to see him suit up for my favorite NFL team, the Chicago Bears, I can't stomach the thought of it because I'd much rather see him in a BG uniform any day. I want to cherish every single moment of his time at BG, the rest can wait. I know I can't control what the national media writes or talks about, but I can control what I say. And I say, let's enjoy Omar while he's here at BG, get our butts in the stands at the games, and cheer him and the Falcons onto a MAC Championship!!!!

I agree with 33. The NFL talk is great for Omar but I don't care about the NFL at this point. College football is my passion by far....and the NFL can wait for Omar.

#4 is the QB of the BG Falcons and I intend to enjoy every second that he's here.

Y'all think we should let the boys play the season first?
