I thought this was a board with logical people. This is going off the charts. Those folks on the Wisconsin board may be right about us being delusional (though I hope you guys turn out to be correct )

I think BG will win somewhat handily, but that is as much a sign of me thinking Wisconsin will be average at best as it is a sign of me thinking BG will be very good.
I think I predicted a 14 or 17 point BG win a few months ago. I'll stick with that.
Hey guys...I'm new here and will be a Freshman this incoming year...just figured I'd give that background...
I was talking to my dad about this game...and he made a valid point that if the BG defense doesn't try to do too much and play within itself, then the Falcons will win this game.
Even though Wisky lost a lot of players last year...the first game of the season always brings unknowns into the fold. That being said, I do feel the Falcons do win this one...my prediction being 38-28.
I just looked up some stats to post on the wisky board and I thought I'd share them here as they helped clear up a small misconception I had about the Big 11.
The average D Wisconsin faced last year in the Almighty B11 was ranked 54th in the country. That blew my mind. We were ranked 60th for pete's sake. I'm getting more and more confident with every passing day.
Also our average D faced was I believe 89th. This was probably one of the worst in the country.
Although honestly predicting a 30 point win seems out there but we'll see. I hope our fearless leader is a soothsayer =)
That $25 is two brats and six glasses of Leinie's Creamy Dark at State Street Brats after the win.

You drink that Eau Claire stuff - Leinies? And not Point Special? (I used to love Point Special Boch Beer when available. Haven't had any in more than twenety years.)
I won't make a score prediction, but will say that even after Madison, BGSU could still have a very special season.

I read your post over there and since you will not get any credit for it over there I will say it here. Good post.
The old HoJo is the perfect place to stay--good choice. It's not too extravagent inside, but it works--and is in a perfect location. You will probably want to head up on Francis Street to State Street. On Francis, check out the Red Shed (excellent Long Islands), Wando's (famous for its Fish Bowls). Both are a bit small, but get really packed and are quite happening, and can get really fun. Stay away from Brothers (down on University) or MadHatters (way too meat markety and testosterony--plus you can find better looking women elsewhere with better beer selections). On the corner of State and Francis is State Street Brats, which is a must drink-at bar, the hype is deserved. My personal faves are Paul's Club, up towards the capitol on State (small, dark, fake tree in middle of bar, great beer and whiskey selection) and the Plaza (off State on a side street left from Stillwater's), which reminded some of my friends from BG of the Pizza Bowl on Laverne and Shirley's.
Additionally, if you turn towards the capitol on State, you will run into some other places (BW-3, no explanation needed; and Parthenon, a great Greek diner--try the gyro and fries).
Keep in mind, that even though classes don't start until after Labor Day, orientation will be taking place, and the campus area will be packed anyway

Thanks -- I figured somebody would attack the statistics before considering for a second that the B11 wasn't all it has been made out to be. I guess it comes with the territory over there.
And bucky -- I really don't like to be stats oriented but sometimes it's the best way to attempt to reason with people who cannot be reasoned with. I don't mean you fwiw -- you and some of your badger friends have been cool. Somebody has a quote on their signature along the lines of lies, damn lies, and statistics. I wholeheartedly agree.
the offense is that good. dont forget we are capable of running the ball well too. their defense is not so good. its not like they have an ohio state quality defense.... i know you all hate osu but you have to admit that defense is top notch.

This is the first time I'll actually watch a Bowling Green game with tremoundous interest, and I'm pretty excited about it.
I mean, I had watched them play last year, but never before did I have the mind set that I will this year, "Hey - this could quite possibly be my future school that I'm watching..."
