Well, that is amazing that he completed something like 68% of his passes by throwing balls out of bounds. That really says something about OMAR, his receivers, and probably most importantly our offensive system/scheme.

LET THE GAMES BEGIN,......PLEASE!!!!
Omar is the most accurate passer the MAC has seen at least since Pennington, and he may be better than him. It's not just completion %, but that is a good place to start. He puts the ball on the money, and he throws a VERY catchable ball. It's got zip on it, but seems to be soft into the hands of the WRs as well. It doesn't hurt that he's had a great WR corps; the credit should be spread around.

More important than completion % though, is where the ball is. It's not just to his WRs so they can make the catch. The ball is dead on perfect where it needs to be for them to EASILY make the catch, and continue running for YAC.

Obviously Jacobs doesn't have the success yet of some of the greats, but I think I would argue that at this point Omar is the best player in BG football history. Hopefully his team's success will vault him up with the other greatest players in BG's history.

Now hold on a second...Isn't this the same group of people that say polls don't mean anything, that they are biased towards the BCS conferences, blah, blah, blah...Funny how being ranked in a top 25 poll changes people's tunes... ;)

I'd love to be happy about BG's ranking in this poll, but Turd, Miami, and NIU (and maybe Kent St. and OU) are ranked way too low. So, overall, I think the poll sucks (plus, many other teams seem out of place in the top 25). Then again, I could look at it this way: considering the lack of respect given to the MAC in this poll, BG must be awesome if they merit a spot in the top 25.

Pre-Season polls are creaaap...that is what I say. They are biased. The only poll that matters is the last one of the season. The ones in mid season are more accurate, but still off because of the pre-season polls.

Forget the BCS and give me a playoff that allows conference champs and a few at large bids to battle it out and I will be happy.

Polls are only a gage, but not exactly a real helpful one at that.

You are exactly what the administration is counting on....wanting to see the transition from the traditional logo to the new bird one. I told you this was what was going to happen. Retail logo only....yeah right.... ::puke::

And btw, I don't hate the bird logo. What I don't like is losing the traditional one; a logo that was one of the most unique in all of college sports, BAR NONE!!! .....just like our colors..... *sigh* ........

And for your information....ANYONE who is a Falcon fan doesn't need to be told "what the heck it is!!" (....sorry, but you REALLY struck a nerve with me on this topic)

GRRRRRRR!!!!
EXACTLY what she said. And I still don't see how people can look at that and say they "don't know what it is". I see nothing but a bird head. And "LT" rocks!
Yeah, if you don't know what the traditional logo is I reccomend seeing your local doctor and asking for some serious medication. I hate to come down on you Zulu, but that may be one of the most thoughtless statements I've ever read on this board (and I myself have made some pretty thoughtless statements around here - sorry Metz!).
I love getting some of you guys and gals fired up. I won't change my mind on this right now, because I think the administration created a first class Falcon head, and I'm not sure it's really "unique", but I am about tradition, but than again I would officially change our fight song, which I never learned and make AZZ the official fight song. Interested to hear how some traditionalists would view that change.

This sentence changes direction so many times, you've lost me... except for the part where you never learned the words to your alma mater's fight song.... That is sad.

Wha? The traditional logo is a bird's head? I thought it was a nekkid lady or two dogs fighting over a ham.

I NEVER do well on those ink blot tests. It always nekkid ladies or dogs and ham. They ask you what it is, you tell it's a nekkid lady dog ham and bam, 15 weeks of lithium...

Tom Cruise was right, Psychiatry is a big ruse.

So far as the space ghost pillow goes, I do own one, I think it's nice and soft. I like the new logo, but I prefer the old one...I like ham.

It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."
