BG 38 Wisconsin 21

And the headline in the Madison paper will be like all the headlines the next day after a BG road victory:

WISCONSIN BOWLED OVER

PJ lines up at QB on first and goal and actually throws a 3yd TD pass to Omar. That evening, Mark May tells a nation of football fans that the MAC wins games against BCS schools only because they use "gimmicks"
Now that was funny.

56-24? Say what?

I thought this was a board with logical people. This is going off the charts. Those folks on the Wisconsin board may be right about us being delusional (though I hope you guys turn out to be correct :D )

I say BG 34 Wis 28
These are all predictions, SDF. So what if some of the folks think blowout?
Big deal. Predictions are fun...that's it.

And I am betting the guy $5. I feel confident in BG's ability to score...and our defense is gonna be better than most folks think. Wisky just doesn't "Scare" me like Boise State. And the team has played in hostile environments like this the last few years.

Our players know they have an incredible opportunity this season with the ESPN games and all the hype Omar is getting. Few people outside this board and the MAC realize how good the rest of the team is. If there was ever a season for BG to make "the statement", its 2005.

BG 41, Badgers 27.

Less than 551 hours til kickoff....

38-34, BG.

I worry about Wisconsin's running game. I see Northern Illinois from last season...when BG couldn't stop any sort of run. If the BG offense plays like it can, then I think it will be a high scoring, yet close game.

Ummmm.... Sorry to just randomly jump in here but I have to say BG is going to win but maybe not huge. At least one of you mentioned Big 10 football versus Mac football. I hate to be too obvious, but let me just say that I was a student at a Big 10 school and I've seen plenty o football games.

It doesn't matter what conference you're in, it's how you play the game. Or something like that. A couple of years ago, a bunch of people didn't even think we had a chance versus Purdue. Oops. Guess we did. BG's played great against OSU and Oklahoma as well as other majors schools including wins against Northwestern, Memphis, etc.

Who is Wisconsin returning? Not to put down Omar because he is a great QB, but more players than him are coming back for BG.

To end my rant, I predict BG will win 31-17

This is a game that I predict BG will win and carry the torch for the MAC. Our Huskies will fall at Michigan but I just hope we can put on a good show. Our defense scares me with Lee out for the year. Very inexperienced at all 3 linebacker slots.

If that happens it's going be one hell of a battle for a MAC title.

2 of the 3 are very possible. I'm not sure NIU has the firepower to hang with michigan but I'll be rootin for em to pull off the upset. That would be the banner day in MAC history.

Michigan is beatable. I have no idea how they're ranked as high as they are. They had a very iffy run defense last year and they lost some of the talent off that defense. They also lost Edwards who was by far their best offensive player.

NIU will have a tough time stopping Hart, but I think Wolfe could run well against UM. I can see NIU beating them, but they'll have to play a perfect game, and probably hit a couple big plays in the passing game.
