A year ago our two teams were getting ready to start the season against each other. As I recall, neither fan base doubted Jacob's abilities, but questions arose concerning his readiness to assume the mantle of control.
Now he is a legitimate Heisman candidate.
And your team has a good claim to a position in the top twenty-five ... perhaps high up into it.
The congeniality of your fans, especially the mother of a certain lineman, made me a fan of Bowling Green. I hope you shock the nation ( I won't be all that surprised) by a win at Wisconsin, and then go on to win the rest.
Who knows when or if OU and Bowling Green will meet again in a regular season game. I guess the best we can hope for is a rematch in a bowl game. Let's hope it happens soon and that it's a good one.
Greetings and best wishes from a Sooner

Thanks John... how 'bout Pasadena in January?

Golfer John:
It was nice of you to stop by.
So many of your fans were so gracious last year, both here on AZZ.com and -- judging from the reports I heard from fans who made the trip -- there in Norman.
It's really impressive. I very much regret not making the trip to Norman myself.
Also, I think the overall graciousness of Sooner fans like yourself serves as a fine example for us to try to follow
I also hope our programs have a chance to meet again.

I went to the game last year along with three other bandies, and we loved the experience. Your fans were so friendly and welcoming, and we received a lot of compliments on our team's game and good wishes for the rest of the season on our walk back to the van.
I was already a Sooners fan because my grandma went to OU, and she and my grandpa have had football season tickets for as long as I can remember. We have pictures of me as a toddler in Sooners gear, hehe. My experience at the game last year, however, cemented my status as an OU fan.
